INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before Using your Equipment
•
Remove the exterior interior and packing.
CAUTION: After unpacking you MUST allow this unit to stand upright for at least 2 hours to allow the
lubricant and refrigerant to drain back into the compressor and stabilize. Failure to do so
may adversely affect performance and the lifetime of this unit.

Installation of your Equipment
NOTE: Do not store or install the unit outdoors.
•
Units with BI in their suffix are designed to be built in or- via recessed installation. The rest of
the units listed in this manual are designed for freestanding use. All models indoor are for use
only.
CAUTION: This equipment is designed for the storage of medicine or other medical products. Do not
store beverages or perishable food in this unit.
•
Place the freezer on a floor that is strong enough to support it when it is fully loaded. To level the
unit, adjust the front leveling legs.
•
For free-standing installation, allow at least 5 inches (127mm) of space between the back, top,
and sides of the unit. This allows the proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser
for energy saving. Even for recessed or built-in installation (units with “BI” in the model number),
it is a must to keep ¼” (6.35mm) of space on each side, and 2” (51mm) on the top and at the

This unit requires a standard 1 Volt AC ~ 60Hz three prong grounded electrical outlet. Have10 - the

To prevent accidental injury, the cord should be secured behind the unit and not left exposed or
dangling.
The unit should always be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet which has a voltage rating
that matches the rating label on the unit. This provides the best performance and also prevents
overloading house wiring circuits that could cause a fire hazard from overheating. Never unplug the
unit by pulling on the power cord. Always grip the plug firmly and pull it straight out from the
receptacle. Repair or replace immediately all power cords that have become frayed or otherwise
damaged. Do not use a cord that shows cracks or abrasion damage along its length or at either end.

least 10 amperes.
Reversing the Door
Unless ordered as an “LHD” variant, your unit is shipped with a right hand- -self closing door swing.

NOTE: Doors on units with “DL2B” data loggers are not reversible.
1. Carefully lay the unit on its back front and remove the two leveling legs
2. Remove the two hex head screws that connect the door hinges to the body on the bottom of the
unit

OPERATION QUICK GUIDE – SETUP
This section explains how to operate your For unit. more detailed instructions on changing the
parameters of control panel, the see page 10.
Once plugged in, the display will show the product temperature inside the freezer and the compressor
will start to run (an indicator light on the control panel will turn on at the same time).
NOTE: This product utilizes two sensors: A Product Sensor (display sensor) and an Air Sensor
(control sensor).
For maximum performance, the freezer controls use a separate air sensor. This allows it to rapidly
respond to product loading and door openings. You may need to adjust the controller to lower the
desired product temperature as the air temperature needs to be lower to pull the product
temperature down.
The temperature displayed is the product temperature recorded by the product sensor in glycol
inside a vial located in cools to the set point, the number on thethe freezer freezer. As the

freezer.
If power is cut off, wait for at least 5 minutes before plugging the unit in again to avoid damaging the
compressor.
Adjusting Operating the Temperature
To change the set point, press the SET key and the set-point temperature will be displayed. To
change the set point, within 10 seconds, press the up or down arrow key until the desired
temperature is displayed. The new set point will be memorized when you push the SET key again.
Solid door models come preset to -25°C (-13°F). Adjust the temperature up or down your to achieve
desired product temperature displayed the temperature.
High/Low Temperature Alarm
If the temperature in your freezer drops below the low alarm set point, an alarm will sound. The front
panel display will flash and the current temperature will be displayed alternately. Also, LO if the
temperature air rises above the high alarm setpoint will sound. an alarm

alarm values to meet your requirements in the parameter set- up and settings.

Power Failure Alarm
After plugging in the equipment, move the “Reset Switch” located at the front of the unit to the down
position. When electrical power to the equipment is lost, an alarm will sound, and it will silence when

Min/Max Temperature Recording
•
Once connected to the power supply, your unit records the maximum high and minimum low
temperatures reached inside the cabinet. The display will show the last HI and temperaturesLO
recorded until the freezer is reset.

To display the HI reading, press and release the button. To display the HI/LO LO reading, press
and again. release the HI/LO button
To Reset the Min/Max Temperature Recording
Hold the button for 6 seconds. To confirm the operation, the display starts blinking and theHI/LO
buzzer sounds. 5 seconds, After the normal display will be restored.
Changing the Temperature Display
This unit ships with the temperature displayed in Celsius by default. If you prefer the display in
Fahrenheit, you will need to enter your password and adjust the parameters. Press and hold the
“Set” button until it flashes “Pas,” then enter the password (factory default is “15”) using the up and
down arrows. Once you enter the password, press “Set” about 25 times until “CF” displays, then
press the down arrow until the control displays “ºF”, then press “Set.” Wait 6 seconds and the setting
will be recorded, with your unit resuming normal operation.
Interior Light
Your unit includes an LED light that will automatically illuminate when the door is opened. If you
would like to keep the light on when the door is switch closed, push the to the “on” position.
Door Alarm
If the door of the freezer is left open for more than 3 minutes, an audible alarm will sound. The
alarm will be turned off automatically when the door is closed.
Remote Alarm
The electronic controller is equipped with dry contacts for alarm forwarding to an external remote
alarm system (terminal block on the back of the freezer).
NOTE: The remote contacts are normally “closed” and “open” when the alarm goes off. To change
the output to normally “open” and “closed” on alarm see item “C12” of the Table of
Parameters and Factory Settings. Change the “C12” i setting to “00” nstead of “01”.

Front Panel Operation
Set temperature (the compressor’s top temperature) adjustment:

Parameter up and -set settings (for all settings other than temperature setpoint):
Press the SET button and hold for 6 seconds to enter the parameter setting (flash and display
PAS). After entering the correct password (factory default is 15), press and the display will SET
show E1, E2, …~do3 PAS in sequence. Press the UP or DOWN arrow and the value of the
parameter will be displayed and can be modified and stored. If no other buttons are pressed within
6 seconds, it will exit, and the new value will be stored. NOTE: Only when in the inner parameter
menu (display PAS) and the correct word is entered can the parameter value be adjusted. If pass
the wrong password is entered, the parameter modification will be exited, although the set menu
temperature adjustment is still active. you If forget the password, you will need to resume the factory
default settings.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, it is essential that you unplug the unit from the power line and transfer the contents
where they can be stored and monitored correct at the temperatures.
•
Wash the inner compartment with warm water and neutral detergent. DO NOT allow the control
panel, cables or plug to get wet. NEVER use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, or abrasive
scourers to clean your freezer. NEVER use metal or sharp implements to remove debris.
•
Dry all surfaces thoroughly.
•
To ensure trouble free operation, the condenser should be cleaned every three months where-
appropriate using a vacuum hose. The condenser is located at the back of the cabinet. In
exceptionally dusty locations, the condenser should be cleaned more often.
When transporting the unit, try to keep it vertical with angle of inclination between sides of the
freezer and the horizontal plane not less than 50
o. Otherwise the compressor may be affected,
disrupting normal operation of the freezer.

Connexion électrique
Cet appareil doit être correctement mis à la terre pour votre sécurité. Le cordon d'alimentation de cet
appareil est équipé d'une fiche à trois broches qui s'accouple avec des prises murales à trois
broches standard pou r minimiser les risques de choc électrique.
Ne coupez ou ne retirez en aucun cas la troisième broche (terre) du cordon d'alimentation fourni.
Pour sécurité personnelle, votre cet équipement correctement doit être mis à la terre.
Cet appareil nécessite une prise électrique standard mise à la terre à trois broches de 115/120 volts
CA ~ 60 Hz. Faites vérifier la prise murale et le circuit par un électricien qualifié pour vous assurer
que la prise est correctement mise à la terre. Lorsqu'une prise murale standard à 2 broches est
rencontrée, il est de votre responsabilité et obligation de la faire remplacer par une prise murale à 3
broches correctement mise à la terre.

L'unité doit toujours être branchée sur sa propre prise électrique individuelle dont la tension
nominale correspond à l'étiquette signalétique de l'unité. Cela offre les meilleures performances et
empêche également la surcharge des circuits de câblage de la maison qui pourrait entraîner un
risque d'incendie par surchauffe. Ne débranchez jamais l'appareil en tirant sur le cordon
d'alimentation. Tenez toujours fermement la fiche et tirez tout droit hors de la prise. Réparez ou

endommagés. N'utilisez pas de cordon présentant des fissures ou des dommages par abrasion sur

Rallonge électrique
En raison des risques potentiels pour la sécurité dans certaines conditions, il est fortement
recommandé de ne pas utiliser de rallonge avec cet équipement. Cependant, si vous devez utiliser

Inverser la porte
À moins d'être commandé avec l'option "LHD", votre appareil est livré avec une porte battante à
fermeture automatique à droite. Si vous souhaitez inverser la porte pour ouvrir dans la direction
opposée, suivez ci-les étapes dessous.
REMARQUE: Les portes des unités avec d'enregistreur de le suffixe données "DL2B" ne sont
pas réversibles.
1. Posez soigneusement l'unité sur son dos et retirez les deux pieds de nivellement avant

FONCTIONNEMENT - GUIDE DE
CONFIGURATION RAPIDE
Cette section explique comment utiliser votre appareil. Pour des instructions plus détaillées sur la
modification des paramètres du panneau commande, de reportez vous- à la page 30.
Une fois branché, l'écran affichera la température du produit à l'intérieur du congélateur et le
compresseur commencera à fonctionner (un voyant lumineux sur le panneau de commande
s'allumera en même temps).
Remarque: ce produit utilise deux capteurs: capteur de produit (capteur d'affichage) et capteur d'air
(capteur de contrôle).
Pour une performance maximale, les commandes du congélateur utilisent un capteur d'air séparé.
Cela lui permet de répondre rapidement au chargement du produit et aux ouvertures de porte. Vous
devrez peut-être régler le contrôleur à une valeur inférieure à la température du produit souhaitée
car la température de l'air doit être plus basse pour abaisser température la du produit.
La température affichée est la température du produit enregistrée par le capteur de produit dans le
glycol à l'intérieur d'un flacon situé dans le congélateur. Au fur et à mesure que le congélateur
refroidit jusqu'au point de consigne, le nombre sur l'affichage diminue en conséquence. Le flacon de

Si l'alimentation est coupée, attendez au moins 5 minutes avant de rebrancher l'unité pour éviter

Réglage de la Température de Fonctionnement
Pour modifier le point de consigne, appuyez sur la touche SET et la température de consigne sera

Configuration et réglages des paramètres (pour tous les réglages autres que la

Appuyez sur le bouton SET et maintenez-le enfoncé pendant 6 secondes pour entrer le réglage des
paramètres (flash et affichage PAS). Après avoir entré le mot de passe correct (la valeur par défaut
est 15), appuyez sur et l'écran affichera E1, E2,… ~ do3 PAS dans l'ordre. SET Appuyez sur la
flèche ou UP DOWN et la valeur du paramètre sera affichée et pourra être modifiée et mémorisée.
Si aucun autre bouton n'est pressé dans les 6 secondes, il sortira et la nouvelle valeur sera
enregistrée.
REMARQUE: La valeur du paramètre ne peut être ajustée que dans le menu des paramètres
internes (affichage PAS) et que le mot de passe correct est saisi. Si un mot de passe
incorrect est entré, la modification des paramètres sera abandonnée, bien que le
réglage de la température de consigne soit toujours actif. Si vous oubliez le mot de
passe, vous devrez les paramètres rétablir d'usine par défaut.

Voici des exemples de modification des paramètres communs :
A. Entrer le mot de passe - Appuyez sur le bouton "Set" et maintenez-le enfoncé pendant 6
