Safety

General requirements for household electrical appliances

• If thepower cable is damaged, it must be replaced by themanufacturer, its service

agent or similar qualiﬁed persons in order to avoid ahazard.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of

theappliance in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.

• Children shall not play with theappliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Particular requirements for room heaters

• Never use theappliance in theimmediate vicinity of bathtubs, showers or

swimmingpools.

• Theappliance must never be placed directly beneath awall socket.

• Theappliance must not be controlled by any timer, remote control or any form of

automatic control due to therisk of ﬁre if theappliance is covered or positioned incorrectly.

• Theappliance has no thermostat to regulate theroom temperature. Donot use

theappliance in conﬁned areas or rooms where persons who are unable to leave

theroom without assistance are located.

• Do not locate theappliance where there is arisk of it igniting curtains or similar

combustible material.

• Appliances designed to be installed in ahigh location should be mounted at least

1.8m above theﬂoor.

• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

• Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off

theappliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal

operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

use of theappliance in asafe way and understand thehazards involved. Children

aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean

theappliance or perform user maintenance.

• Someparts of this appliance can become very hot and causeburns. Caution:

Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
