5.8 GHz AV system
Introduction:
The 2.4 GHz frequency band is very busy due to applications like Bluetooth®, WiFi and wireless
networks. Therefore the signals of such equipment is easily distorted. That is why the VID-TRANS510
uses the 5.8 GHz frequency, to avoid any interference between such devices. Enjoy wireless video and
audio in your house. Included: infrared extension for control of connected equipment.

Operation:
1. Connect the transmitter with the AV cable to the output of VCR, DVD or SAT.
2. Connect the receiver with the AV cable to the input of TV, LCD screen or Plasma.
3. Connect the adapter plug of the AC/DC adapter into the transmitter and the receiver and connect
the power plug into a 230 Volt wall outlet. Note: use the provided adapters only.
4. Select on the transmitter and receiver the desired channel with the channel button. Note: In case of
possible distortion, try another channel. For optimum performance, it could be necessary to point
the transmitter and receiver to each other in an imaginary straight line. Or replace the transmitter
and/or receiver a bit, a few centimeters/inches could already be enough to improve the sound and
picture quality. If the reception is perfect, no adjustments are necessary.
5. Turn on the connected equipment and enjoy wireless reception.
Using the remote control feature:
The 5.8 GHz system not only allows you to send audio/video from one area to another, it also gives you
the ability to control the source by using your existing remote control device. It converts the infrared (IR)
signal emitted by your remote control to a a radio frequency (RF) signal in the UHF band at the receiver
and sends it back to the transmitter where the RF signal is converted back to the original IR signal and
beamed to the audio/video source.
Use the IR cable and connect the 2.5mm plug to the input jack on the back of the transmitter (IR). Place
the IR sensor on the front of the display from the equipment that need to be controlled. It’s important to
place the IR sensor as close as possible to the IR sensor, which is behind the display, of the equipment.
