Stereo Matching Ampliﬁer

These instructions are intended for users with-

out any speciﬁc technical knowledge. Please

read these instructions carefully prior to oper-

ation and keep them for later reference.

1 Applications

SLA-35 is used to match the level and the imped-

ance when interconnecting different audio units

(e. g. connection of MP3 player, mobile phone, PC

to an ampliﬁer or to a mixer). Correct adjustment

of the level and the impedance will prevent signal

distortion or volume loss.

2 Important Notes

The units (ampliﬁer and power supply unit) corre-

spond to all relevant directives of the EU and are

therefore marked with .

WARNING The power supply unit uses danger-

ous mains voltage. Leave servicing

to skilled personnel only. Inexpert

handling may result in electric shock.

• The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect

them against dripping water and splash water,

high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient

temperature range: 0 – 40 °C).

•

Do not operate the ampliﬁer or immediately dis-

connect the power supply unit from the socket

1. if one of the units is visibly damaged,

2. if a defect might have occurred after a unit

was dropped or suffered a similar accident,

3. if malfunctions occur.

In any case, the units must be repaired by skilled

personnel.

•

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use

water or chemicals.

•

No guarantee claims for the units and no liability

for any resulting personal damage or material

damage will be accepted if the units are used for

other purposes than originally intended, if they

are not correctly connected or operated, or if

they are not repaired in an expert way.

If the units are to be put out of operation

deﬁnitively, take them to a local recycling

plant for a disposal which is not harmful

to the environment.

3 Operation

1) Connect the signal source to the 3.5 mm input

(5) or to the RCA input (7).

2) Connect the input of the following unit to the

3.5 mm output (6) or to the RCA output (8).

3) For the time being, set the control LEVEL (1) to

the mid-position 0 and the switch IMPEDANCE

(4) to the position HI.

4) Connect the power supply unit to the jack

12 – 24 V⎓ (3) and to a mains socket (230 V/

50 Hz). The power LED ON (2) lights up.

5) If the signal at the following unit is distorted due

to a very high input level, set the switch IMPED-

ANCE to the position LO. This will reduce the

signal level by 5.6 dB and at the same time re-

duce the input impedance of SLA-35 to 8.1 kΩ.

6) -If the signal is still distorted, turn back the con

trol LEVEL towards –20. If the signal is poor, turn

up the control towards +20.

Diese Bedienungsanleitung richtet sich an Be-

nutzer ohne besondere Fachkenntnisse. Bitte

lesen Sie die Anleitung vor dem Betrieb gründ-

lich durch und heben Sie sie für ein späteres

Nachlesen auf.

1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Der SLA-35 dient zur Pegel- und Impedanzanpas-

sung beim Zusammenschalten von verschiedenen

Audiogeräten (z. B. Anschluss eines MP3-Spielers,

Mobiltelefons, PCs an einen Verstärker oder an ein

Mischpult). Durch eine richtige Pegel- und Impe-

danzeinstellung können Signalverzerrungen oder

Lautstärkeeinbußen vermieden werden.

2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch

Die Geräte (Verstärker und Netzgerät) entsprechen

allen relevanten Richtlinien der EU und tragen des-

halb das -Zeichen.

WARNUNG Das Netzgerät wird mit lebensge-

fährlich hoher Netzspannung ver-

sorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb niemals

selbst Eingriffe am Netzgerät vor.

Durch unsachgemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Ge-

fahr eines elektrischen Schlages.

•

Die Geräte sind nur zur Verwendung im Innen-

bereich geeignet. Schützen Sie sie vor Tropf- und

Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze

(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

•

Nehmen Sie den Verstärker nicht in Betrieb bzw.

ziehen Sie sofort das Netzgerät aus der Steck-

dose,

1. wenn sichtbare Schäden an einem der Geräte

vorhanden sind,

2. wenn nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der

Verdacht auf einen Defekt besteht,

3. wenn Funktionsstörungen auftreten.

Geben Sie die Geräte in jedem Fall zur Reparatur

in eine Fachwerkstatt.

•

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,

weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.

•

Werden die Geräte zweckentfremdet, nicht

richtig angeschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht

fachgerecht repariert, kann keine Haftung für

daraus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschä-

den und keine Garantie für die Geräte übernom-

men werden.

Sollen die Geräte endgültige aus dem

Betrieb genommen werden, übergeben

Sie sie zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung

einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.

3 Inbetriebnahme

1) Die Signalquelle an den 3,5-mm-Klinkeneingang

(5) oder an den Cinch-Eingang (7) anschließen.

2) Den Eingang des nachfolgenden Gerätes an

den 3,5-mm-Klinkenausgang (6) oder an den

Cinch-Ausgang (8) anschließen.

3) Vorerst den Regler LEVEL (1) in die Mittelposition

0 drehen und den Schalter IMPEDANCE (4) in die

Position HI schieben.

4) Das Netzgerät an die Buchse 12 – 24 V (3) an⎓-

schließen und in eine Steckdose (230 V/ 50 Hz)

stecken. Die Betriebsanzeige ON (2) leuchtet.

5) Wenn bei einem sehr hohen Eingangspegel das

Signal am nachfolgenden Gerät verzerrt ist, den

Schalter IMPEDANCE in die Position LO schie-

ben. Dadurch wird der Signalpegel um 5,6 dB

verringert und gleichzeitig die Eingangsimpe-

danz des SLA-35 auf 8,1 kΩ reduziert.

6) Ist das Signal weiterhin verzerrt, den Regler

LEVEL entsprechend nach links in Richtung −20

drehen. Ist das Signal zu leise, den Regler ent-

sprechend weiteraufdrehen in Richtung +20.

Queste istruzioni sono rivolte all‘utente senza

conoscenze tecniche speciﬁche. Vi preghiamo

di leggerle attentamente prima della messa in

funzione e di conservarle per un uso futuro.

1 Possibilità d’impiego

Lo SLA-35 serve per adattare il livello e l’impedenza

quando si assemblano differenti apparecchi audio

(p. es. collegamento di un lettore MP3, di un cel-

lulare, di un PC con un ampliﬁcatore o un mixer).

Grazie all’impostazione corretta del livello e dell’im-

pedenza si evitano distorsioni dei segnali e perdite

di volume.

2 Avvertenze importanti per l’uso

Gli apparecchi (ampliﬁcatore e alimentatore) sono

conformi a tutte le direttive rilevanti dell’UE e per-

tanto portano la sigla .

AVVERTIMENTO L’alimentatore è alimentato con

pericolosa tensione di rete. Non

intervenire mai personalmente

al suo interno. La manipolazione

scorretta può provocare delle scariche elettriche

pericolose.

•

Gli apparecchi sono previsti solo per l’uso all’in-

terno di locali. Proteggerli dall’acqua gocciolante

e dagli spruzzi d’acqua, da alta umidità dell’aria

e dal calore (temperatura d’impiego ammessa fra

0 e 40 °C).

•

Non mettere in funzione l’ampliﬁcatore e stac-

care subito l’alimentatore dalla presa di rete se:

1. uno degli apparecchi presenta dei danni visi-

bili;

2. dopo una caduta o dopo eventi simili sussiste

il sospetto di un difetto;

3. gli apparecchi non funzionano correttamente.

Per la riparazione rivolgersi sempre ad un’ofﬁcina

competente.

•

Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,

asciutto; non impiegare in nessun caso acqua o

prodotti chimici.

•

Nel caso d’uso improprio, di collegamento sba-

gliato, d’impiego scorretto o di riparazione non

a regola d’arte degli apparecchi, non si assume

nessuna responsabilità per eventuali danni con-

sequenziali a persone o a cose e non si assume

nessuna garanzia per gli apparecchi.

Se si desidera eliminare gli apparecchi

deﬁnitivamente, consegnarli per lo smal-

timento ad un’istituzione locale per il ri-

ciclaggio.

3 Messa in funzione

1) Collegare la sorgente dei segnali con l’ingresso

jack 3,5 mm (5) o con l’ingresso RCA (7).

2) Collegare l’ingresso dell’apparecchio a valle con

l’uscita jack 3,5 mm (6) o con l’uscita RCA (8).

3) Girare per il momento il regolatore LEVEL (1) in

posizione centrale 0 e spostare l’interruttore IM-

PEDANCE (4) in posizione HI.

4) Collegare l’alimentatore con la presa 12 – 24 V⎓

(3) e inserirlo in una presa di rete (230 V/ 50 Hz).

Si accende la spia di funzionamento ON (2).

5) -Se in caso di livello d’ingresso molto alto, il se

gnale sull’apparecchio a valle è distorto, spostare

l’interruttore IMPEDANCE in posizione LO. In

questo modo, il livello del segnale viene ridotto

di 5,6 dB e nello stesso tempo si riduce l’impe-

denza d’ingresso dello SLA-35 a 8,1 kΩ.

6) Se il segnale continua ad essere distorto, girare

il regolatore LEVEL a sinistra in direzione −20. Se

il segnale è troppo debole, girare il regolatore

invece in direzione +20.

reporter ultérieurement.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation

Le SLA-35 permet d’adapter le niveau et l’im-

pédance lorsque différents appareils audio sont

connectés ensemble (p. ex. branchement d’un lec-

teur MP3, téléphone mobile, PC à un ampliﬁcateur

ou à une table de mixage). On peut ainsi éviter des

distorsions de signal ou des pertes de volume en

réglant correctement le niveau et l’impédance.

2 Conseils importants d’utilisation

Les appareils (ampliﬁcateur et bloc secteur) ré-

pondent à toutes les directives nécessaires de

l’Union européenne et portent donc le symbole .

AVERTISSEMENT Le bloc secteur est alimenté par

une tension dangereuse. Ne tou-

chez jamais l’intérieur de l’ap-

pareil car, en cas de mauvaise

manipulation, vous pouvez subir une décharge

électrique.

• Les appareils ne sont conçus que pour une utilisa-

tion en intérieur. Protégez-les des éclaboussures,

de tout type de projections d’eau, d’une humidité

élevée de l’air et de la chaleur (plage de tempé-

rature de fonctionnement admissible 0 – 40 °C).

•

Ne faites pas fonctionner l’ampliﬁcateur ou dé-

branchez le bloc secteur immédiatement dans les

cas suivants :

1. un des appareils présente des dommages vi-

sibles.

2. après une chute ou accident similaire, vous

avez un doute sur l’état de l’appareil.

3. des dysfonctionnements apparaissent.

Dans tous les cas, les dommages doivent être

réparés par un technicien spécialisé.

•

Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un chiffon

sec et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques

ou d’eau.

•

Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de

dommages corporels ou matériels résultants si

les appareils sont utilisés dans un but autre que

celui pour lequel ils ont été conçus, s’ils ne sont

pas correctement branchés ou utilisés ou s’ils ne

sont pas réparés par une personne habilitée ; en

outre, la garantie deviendrait caduque.

Lorsque les appareils sont déﬁnitivement re-

tirés du service, vous devez les déposer dans

une usine de recyclage de proximité pour

contribuer à leur élimination non polluante.

3 Fonctionnement

1) Reliez la source de signal à l’entrée jack 3,5 (5)

ou à l’entrée RCA (7).

2) Reliez l’entrée de l’appareil suivant à la sortie

jack 3,5 (6) ou à la sortie RCA (8).

3) Tournez le réglage LEVEL (1) sur la position mé-

diane 0 pour l’instant et mettez le sélecteur IM-

PEDANCE (4) sur la position HI.

4) Reliez le bloc secteur à la prise 12 – 24 V (3) et ⎓

à une prise secteur 230 V/ 50 Hz. Le témoin de

fonctionnement ON (2) brille.

5) Si, en cas d’un niveau d’entrée très élevé, le si-

gnal sur l’appareil suivant est distordu, mettez

le sélecteur IMPEDANCE sur la position LO. Le

niveau de signal est diminué de 5,6 dB et simul-

tanément, l’impédance d’entrée du SLA-35 est

réduite à 8,1 kΩ.

6) Si le signal continue à être distordu, tournez le

réglage LEVEL en conséquence vers la gauche

vers −20. Si le signal est trop faible, tournez le

réglage en conséquence vers +20.
