1 Wichtige Sicherheitsvorschriften
Um alle Funktionen Ihres Aktenvernichters nutzen zu können, lesen Sie bitte diese
Anleitung vor Gebrauch des Geräts sorgfältig durch und bewahren Sie diese für den
zukünftigen Gebrauch auf.
● Halten Sie das Gerät von Kindern und Haustieren fern!
Das Gerät darf nur von Erwachsenen bedient werden.
● Das Gerät kann jeweils nur von einer Person bedient werden.
● Führen Sie während des Betriebs keine anderen Tätigkeiten am Gerät durch, wie z.B.
Reinigen.
● Lassen Sie das Gerät während des Betriebs nicht unbeaufsichtigt.
● Schützen Sie das Gerät vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung, extremer Hitze und
Feuchtigkeit!
● Reparieren Sie das Gerät niemals selber. Verletzungsgefahr! Außerdem erlischt
dadurch der Garantieanspruch. Lassen Sie Reparaturen von qualifiziertem
Fachpersonal durchführen.
● Befolgen Sie alle Warnungen und Hinweise in dieser Anleitung, auf dem Gerät und
auf der Verpackung!
● Entfernen Sie keine Aufkleber oder Beschriftungen vom Gehäuse des Geräts.

Achtung: Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Sicherheitszeichen kann ernste körperliche
Verletzungen verursachen! Falls doch ein Gegenstand (Ärmel, Krawatte
etc.) unbeabsichtigt in einen der Einzüge gelangt, ziehen Sie sofort den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose oder drücken Sie die blau beleuchtete
ECS-Taste!
Sicherheitshinweis: Die Steckdose muss in der Nähe des Geräts angebracht
und leicht zugänglich sein. Sie können somit im Notfall das
Gerät schnell vom Netz trennen.
1.2 Elektrische Sicherheitsrichtlinien
Achtung: Prüfen Sie, ob die Spannungsangabe des Geräts mit der Ihres Stromnet-
zes übereinstimmt, siehe Kapitel „Technische Daten“!
● Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose
● vor der Entleerung des Auffangbehälters
● vor einer längeren Nichtbenutzung
● vor der Reinigung des Geräts
● vor einem Umstellen des Geräts
● Nehmen Sie das Gerät bei einem Schaden am Netzkabel, am Netzstecker oder am
Gerät selbst nicht mehr in Betrieb (Verletzungsgefahr)!
● Nehmen Sie keine Veränderung am Netzkabel vor, da es für die vorgegebene Netz-
spannung ausgelegt ist.
● Verwenden Sie nur ein zugelassenes Verlängerungskabel. Verwenden Sie keine
Mehrfachsteckdosen, Adapter oder nicht zugelassene Verlängerungskabel.
● Überlasten Sie nicht die empfohlene Kapazität der Steckdose oder eines
gegebenenfalls angeschlossenen Verlängerungskabels!
Achtung: Das Öffnen des Schneidwerkaufsatzes zu Reparaturzwecken ist verboten.
Lebensgefahr! Außerdem erlischt dadurch der Garantieanspruch.
2 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
● Verwenden Sie den Aktenvernichter ECS 510.3 CCD nur zur Zerkleinerung von
Papier, CDs, DVDs oder Kreditkarten in den dafür vorgesehenen Einzügen! Das zu
zerkleinernde Material muss trocken sein und den im Kapitel „Technische Daten“
aufgeführten Anforderungen entsprechen! Die Zerkleinerung anderer Materialien
kann dazu führen, dass Sie sich verletzen (durch Splittern fester Materialien etc.)
oder Schäden am Gerät entstehen (z.B. Zerstörung des Schneidwerks).
● Entfernen Sie alle Büroklammern, bevor Sie dem Gerät das Papier zuführen!
● Vernichten Sie mit diesem Gerät keine Endlosformulare, Etiketten und Umschläge!
Das beschädigt das Schneidwerk und Sie verlieren den Garantieanspruch.
● Das Gerät darf nur in trockenen geschlossenen Räumen benutzt werden.
● Das Gerät ist nicht für die gewerbliche Nutzung ausgelegt. Beachten Sie den im
Kapitel „Technische Daten“ angegebenen Betriebszyklus.

4 Inbetriebnahme
1. Entnehmen Sie das Gerät vorsichtig der Verpackung.
Achtung: Die Unterseite des Schneidwerkaufsatzes enthält scharfe Ecken. Verlet-
zungsgefahr!
2. Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einer ebenen Fläche auf.
3. Platzieren Sie das Gerät in der Nähe einer Steckdose. Stellen Sie das Gerät jedoch
nicht in der Nähe einer Wärmequelle oder in der Nähe von Wasser auf.
4. Setzen Sie den Auffangbehälter ein.
Hinweis: Der Aktenvernichter funktioniert nur, wenn der Originalauffangbehälter kor-
rekt eingesetzt ist.
5. Stellen Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter in die Position OFF.
6. Stecken Sie das Netzkabel in die Steckdose.
Hinweis: Achten Sie darauf, dass das Netzkabel nirgendwo im Weg ist, so dass
Personen oder Tiere nicht darüber laufen oder andere Gegenstände dar-
auf abgestellt werden können. Beachten Sie für die notwendigen Vor-
sichtsmaßnahmen die Angaben zur Energieversorgung auf der Rückseite
des Geräts.
Sicherheitshinweis: Die Steckdose und der Netzanschluss des Geräts müssen
aus Sicherheitsgründen in der Nähe des Geräts und frei
zugänglich sein, damit die Stromversorgung im Notfall
schnell getrennt werden kann!
5 Bedienung
Hinweis: Die im Kapitel „Technische Daten“ empfohlene Kapazität darf nicht über-
schritten werden, ansonsten entsteht ein Materialstau! Beachten Sie, dass
sich die Dicke des Papiers beim Falten erhöht, dadurch kann die empfoh-
lene Blattkapazität überschritten werden. Reduzieren Sie die Papiermenge
auch bei grobfaserigem Papier.
5.1 Gerät einschalten
● Stellen Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter in die Position ON.
Die grüne Anzeige “Gerät an” leuchtet.
Das Gerät ist betriebsbereit.

5.2 Die ECS-Funktion (Automatikbetrieb)
In der ECS1-Funktion wird der Zerkleinerungsbetrieb des Schneidwerks automatisch
gestartet, sobald Material durch den entsprechenden Einzug eingeführt wird:
● Das Gerät schaltet auf Vorwärtslauf und zieht das Material ein.
● 5 Sekunden nach dem Zerkleinerungsvorgang schaltet das Gerät automatisch ab.
Sie aktivieren die ECS-Funktion durch Drücken der Automatiktaste (ECS-Taste). Die
ECS-Taste leuchtet dann blau.
Hinweis: In der ECS-Funktion können über den Papiereinzug Papier, über den CD-
Einzug CDs und DVDs sowie über den Kreditkarteneinzug Kreditkarten
zerkleinert werden. Es darf immer nur ein Einzug in Verwendung sein.
Wenn Sie mehr als einen Einzug verwenden, stoppt das Gerät. Beachten
Sie auch die zulässigen Mengen zu zerkleinernden Materials.
Hinweis: In der ECS-Funktion hat das Gerät einen sehr geringen Stromverbrauch.
5.3 Papier zerkleinern
Hinweis: Maximal 10 Blätter DIN A4 mit einem Gewicht von maximal 70 g/m
2.
Hinweis: Entfernen Sie fremde Materialien vom Papier wie z.B. Büroklammern oder
Etiketten.
1. Das Gerät ist eingeschaltet und befindet sich in der ECS-Funktion.
2. Führen Sie das Papier in den Papiereinzug ein.
5.4 CDs oder DVDs zerkleinern
Hinweis: Je Zerkleinerungsvorgang maximal 1 CD oder 1 DVD.
1. Das Gerät ist eingeschaltet und befindet sich in der ECS-Funktion.
2. Führen Sie die CD oder die DVD in den CD-Einzug ein.
5.5 Kreditkarten zerkleinern
Hinweis: Je Zerkleinerungsvorgang maximal 1 Kreditkarte.
1. Das Gerät ist eingeschaltet und befindet sich in der ECS-Funktion.
2. Führen Sie die Kreditkarte in den Kreditkarteneinzug ein.
5.6 Not-aus
Befindet sich da -Funktion (Automatikbetrieb) oder im Vorwärts- bzw. s Gerät in der ECS
Rückwärtslauf, können Sie das Gerät im Notfall durch Drücken der ECS-Taste
umgehend anhalten.
5.7 Gerät ausschalten
Stellen Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter in die Position OFF.

Beseitigen Sie den Materialstau, siehe Kapitel
„Materialstau beseitigen“. Halten Sie sich an die
im Kapitel „Technische Daten“ empfohlene
Kapazität zu zerkleinernden Materials.
Motor überhitzt
Lassen Sie den Motor abkühlen, siehe Kapitel
„Motorschutz“. Halten Sie sich an den im
Kapitel „Technische Daten“ angegebenen
Betriebszyklus.
Auffangbehälter voll Der Auffangbehälter ist voll und muss geleert
werden, siehe Kapitel „Auffangbehälter leeren“.
7 Motorschutz
Der Motor schaltet bei Überlastung automatisch ab. In diesem Fall leuchtet die rote
Anzeige “Motor überhitzt”.
1. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose und lassen Sie den Motor auf
Raumtemperatur abkühlen.
2. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker wieder in die Steckdose und setzen Sie den Betrieb
fort.
Hinweis: Beachten Sie den im Kapitel „Technische Daten“ angegebenen Betriebs-
zyklus.
8 Materialstau beseitigen
Wenn dem Schneidwerk zu viel Material (Papier, CD, DVD, Kreditkarte) zugeführt wurde,
entsteht ein Materialstau. Bei einem Materialstau schaltet das Gerät ab. In diesem Fall
leuchtet die rote Anzeige “Materialstau”.
Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
● Entweder gibt der Aktenvernichter das Material von selber aus (automatischer
Rücklauf) oder Sie müssen den Rückwärtslauf manuell starten, siehe Kapitel
“Rückwärtslauf (REV-Taste)”.
● Befreien Sie die Einzüge von Materialresten über den Vorwärtslauf, siehe Kapitel
“Vorwärtslauf (FWD-Taste)”.
● Schalten Sie das Gerät gegebenenfalls abwechselnd in Vorwärts- und Rückwärtslauf,
bis kein Material mehr in den Einzügen ist.

● Entfernen Sie ggf. noch vorhandene Materialreste manuell aus den Einzügen, siehe
Kapitel “Materialreste manuell aus den Einzügen entfernen”.
● Schalten Sie das Gerät wieder in die ECS-Funktion.
● Reduzieren Sie die zu zerkleinernde Materialmenge.
● Achten Sie darauf, das Material in den richtigen Einzug zu stecken (Papier in den
breiten Papiereinzug, CDs/DVDs in den schmalen CD-Einzug und Kreditkarten in den
kleinen Kreditkarteneinzug).
8.1 Rückwärtslauf (REV-Taste)
Drücken Sie die REV-Taste, damit das Schneidwerk rückwärts läuft und das Material
wieder freigibt.
Hinweis: Wenn es im Papiereinzug zu einem Materialstau gekommen ist, müssen
Sie zusätzlich überprüfen, ob sich Papierreste im Papiereinzug befinden
und diese gegebenenfalls manuell entfernen!
8.2 Vorwärtslauf (FWD-Taste)
Drücken Sie die FWD-Taste, um einen gegebenenfalls verbliebenen Materialrest zu
zerkleinern und aus dem Schneidwerk zu entfernen.
Hinweis: Die FWD-Taste wird nach Beseitigung eines Materialstaus benötigt, um
das Schneidwerk ohne Einführen von Material zum Laufen zu bringen.
8.3 Materialreste manuell aus den Einzügen entfernen
1. Stellen Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter in die Position OFF und ziehen Sie den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
2. Entfernen Sie eingeklemmte Materialreste vorsichtig mit geeignetem Werkzeug aus
dem Schneidwerk.
3. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker wieder in die Steckdose und stellen Sie den
Ein-/Aus-Schalter wieder in die Position ON.
9 Wartung und Pflege
Achtung: Wartungsarbeiten dürfen nur bei gezogenem Netzstecker vorgenommen
werden!
9.1 Auffangbehälter leeren
Spätestens wenn die rote Anzeige “Auffangbehälter voll” leuchtet, muss der
Auffangbehälter geleert werden.
1. Stellen Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter in die Position OFF.
2. Ziehen Sie den Auffangbehälter nach vorne aus dem Gerät.
3. Entleeren Sie den Inhalt an geeigneter Stelle.
4. Schieben Sie den Auffangbehälter wieder in das Gerät.

Hinweis: Es wird empfohlen, den Auffangbehälter nicht bis ans Schneidwerk heran
zu füllen. Hierdurch vermeiden Sie einen Rückstau des Schnittguts in das
Schneidwerk. Leeren Sie den Auffangbehälter regelmäßig.
Hinweis: Wenn der Auffangbehälter aus dem Gerät entfernt wird, ist der Aktenver-
nichter nicht mehr betriebsbereit. Der Aktenvernichter funktioniert nur,
wenn der Originalauffangbehälter korrekt eingesetzt ist.
9.2 Schneidwerk ölen
Damit Sie lange Freude an Ihrem Aktenvernichter haben, empfehlen wir Ihnen, die
Schneidwerke regelmäßig von Rückständen zu befreien und etwas Spezialöl für
Aktenvernichter auf das Schneidewerkzeug aufzutragen. Sie erhalten FCKW-freies
Spezialöl bei Ihrem Fachhändler oder direkt bei unserem Service-Center in Hattingen.
Sie verlängern hierdurch die Lebensdauer des Geräts.
● Nach jedem Leeren des Auffangbehälters Spezialöl in mehreren Querlinien auf ein
passendes Blatt Papier auftragen und dieses Blatt in der ECS-Funktion durch das
Schneidwerk laufen lassen.
Achtung: Die Verwendung von FCKW-haltigem Sprühflaschenöl ist verboten!
9.3 Gerät reinigen
Sicherheitshinweis: Die Verwendung leicht entzündlicher Stoffe ist verboten.
Verletzungsgefahr!
1. Stellen Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter in die Position OFF und ziehen Sie den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
2. Reinigen Sie das Gerät von außen mit einem weichen leicht angefeuchteten Tuch.
Hinweis: Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung des Gehäuses weder haushaltsübliche noch
scharfe Reinigungsmittel und auch keine Chemikalien (z.B. Benzin, Alko-
hol). Verwenden Sie allenfalls ausschließlich speziell für Aktenvernichter
zugelassene Reinigungsprodukte.
Hinweis: Die Reinigung des Gerätegehäuses, der Einlasseinzüge oder des
Schneidwerkaufsatzes mit einem Hochdruckreiniger sowie mit Druckluft
oder Druckluftsprays ist nicht zulässig.

Attention: Failure to observe the safety labels can result in severe personal injury! If
an item (sleeve, tie, etc.) should accidentally enter one of the infeeds, dis-
connect the power plug from the power socket or press the blue illumi-
nated ECS button!
Safety note: The power socket must be in the immediate vicinity of the
unit and easily accessible. This enables you to disconnect
the device from the power supply quickly in an emergency.
1.2 Electrical safety guidelines
Attention: Ensure that the voltage specification of the device coincides with that of
your power outlet, refer to Chapter "Technical Data"!
● Disconnect the power plug from the power socket:
● before emptying the waste bin,
● if it will remain unused for a longer period,
● before cleaning the device,
● before moving the device.
● Do not put the device into operation in the case of damage to the power cable, the
power plug or the device itself (risk of injury)!
● Do not complete any modifications to the power cable because it is designed for the
power supply specified.
● Only use an approved extension cable. Do not use any multiple sockets, adapters or
unapproved extension cables.
● Never exceed the recommended load capacity of the power socket or any connected
extension cables!
Attention: It is forbidden to open the cutting mechanism attachment for repair pur-
poses. Risk of fatal injury! In addition, all claims under the terms of guaran-
tee will be deemed null and void.
2 Intended Use
● Only use the ECS 510.3 CCD shredder to shred paper, CDs, DVDs and credit cards
by inserting them in the respective slot! The material to be shredded must be dry and
comply with the requirements stipulated in Chapter "Technical Data"! Attempting to
shred other material can lead to personal injury (e.g. through splinters from hard
material, etc.) and damage to the equipment (e.g. damage to the cutting mechanism
etc.).
● Remove all paper clips before feeding paper in the device!
● Do not shred continuous forms, labels or envelopes in this device! Doing so could
damage the cutting mechanism and, as a result, all claims under the terms of
guarantee will be deemed null and void.
● The unit may only be used in dry, indoor rooms.
● The device is not intended for commercial use. Observe the operating cycle
stipulated in Chapter "Technical Data".

4 Starting Up
1. Remove the device carefully from the packaging.
Attention: The underside of the cutting mechanism attachment has sharp edges. Risk
of injury!
2. Place the device on a level surface.
3. Position the device near a power socket. However, do not position it near a source of
heat or water.
4. Insert the waste bin.
Note: The shredder only operates when the original waste bin is inserted cor-
rectly.
5. Set the On/Off switch to its OFF position.
6. Connect the power plug to a power socket.
Note: Pay attention that the power cable is laid so that people or pets do not walk
over it or that other objects can be set down on it. Pay attention to the in-
formation regarding power supply on the rear side of the device for the
necessary precautions.
Safety information: For reasons of safety, the power socket to which the
shredder power plug is connected must be near to the
device and freely accessible so that the power supply can be
disconnected quickly in an emergency!
5 Operation
Note: The recommended capacities stipulated in Chapter "Technical Data" must
not be exceeded, otherwise material will jam! Do not forget that the thick-
ness of the paper increases when folded, as a result of which the recom-
mended sheet capacity can be exceeded. Also reduce the quantity of pa-
per when shredding coarse paper.
5.1 Switching the device on
● Set the On/Off switch to its ON position.
The green “power on” lamp lights up.
The device is ready to operate.

5.2 ECS function (automatic EcoShred operation)
When the ECS2 function is activated, the shredding operation of the cutting mechanism
starts up automatically as soon as material is inserted in the infeed:
● The device switches to forward drive and draws the material in.
● 5 seconds after shredding is finished, the device switches off automatically.
The ECS function is activated by pressing the ECS button. The ECS button then lights up
blue.
Note: When the ECS function is activated, paper can be shredded via the paper
infeed, CDs and DVDs shredded via the CD infeed and credit cards shred-
ded via the credit card infeed. Only one infeed may be used at a time. If
you use more than one infeed, the device stops. Pay attention to the per-
missible quantity of material which can be shredded.
Note: When the ECS function is activated, the device has a very low power con-
sumption.
5.3 Shredding paper
Note: A maximum of 10 sheets of A4 paper with a weight of maximally 70 g/m
2
may be inserted in the paper infeed at a time.
Note: Remove any other material from the paper, such as paper clips or labels.
1. The device is switched on and the ECS function is activated.
2. Insert paper in the paper infeed.
5.4 Shredding CDs and DVDs
Note: Only insert one CD or DVD at a time for the shredding process.
1. The device is switched on and the ECS function is activated.
2. Insert the CD or DVD in the CD infeed.
5.5 Shredding credit cards
Note: Only insert one credit card at a time for the shredding process.
1. The device is switched on and the ECS function is activated.
2. Insert the credit card in the credit card infeed.
5.6 Emergency stop
If the ECS function is activated or forward or reverse operation are on, you can stop the
device immediately in an emergency situation by pressing the ECS button.
5.7 Switching the device off
Set the On/Off switch to its OFF position.

● Press the ECS button to reactivate the automatic shredding function.
● Reduce the quantity of material being fed into the shredder.
● Pay attention that the material is inserted in the respective infeed (paper in the wide
paper infeed, CDs and DVDs in the narrow infeed and credit cards in the small credit
card infeed).
8.1 REV button (reverse operation)
Press the REV button so that the cutting mechanism runs in reverse and feeds the
material back out of the shredder indeed.
Note: If a material jam has occurred when the paper infeed was in operation, you
must also check whether there is any residual paper in the infeed and re-
move it manually as well!
8.2 FWD button (forward operation)
Press the FWD button to run the cutting mechanism forwards and shred any residual
material left in the infeed and feed it out of the cutting mechanism.
Note: The FWD button is used after clearing a material jam to start the cutting
mechanism running without feeding any new material through the respec-
tive infeed.
8.3 Removing residual material from the infeeds manually
1. Set the On/Off switch to its OFF position and disconnect the power plug from the
power socket.
2. Remove any jammed material carefully from the cutting mechanism using a suitable
tool.
3. Reconnect the power plug in the power socket and set the On/Off switch to ON.
9 Maintenance and Service
Attention: Maintenance work may only be completed when the power plug has been
disconnected from the power socket!
9.1 Emptying the waste bin
The waste bin must be emptied when the red "waste bin full" lamp lights up at the latest.
1. Set the On/Off switch to its OFF position.
2. Pull the waste bin to the front and out of the device.
3. Empty the contents according to waste disposal requirements.
4. Slide the waste bin back in the device.
Note: It is recommended not to allow the waste bin to fill up against the cutting
mechanism. This prevents the shredded paper congesting and jamming in
the cutting mechanism. Empty the waste bin regularly.

Note: When the waste bin is removed from the device, the shredder cannot be
used. The shredder only operates when the original waste bin is inserted
correctly.
9.2 Lubricating the cutting mechanism
To ensure a long service life for your paper shredder, we recommend clearing any
residue from the cutting mechanism regularly and applying a little special oil for paper
shredders on the cutting tool. You can obtain the special CFC-free oil from your supplier
or directly from our service centre in Hattingen. This helps lengthen the service life of the
device.
● Each time the waste bin is emptied, apply several lines of the special oil in a lateral
direction on a suitable sheet of paper and feed this sheet through the shredder when
the ECS function is set.
Attention: It is forbidden to use oil spray from aerosol cans containing CFC!
9.3 Cleaning the device
Safety note: It is forbidden to used easily inflammable substances. Risk
of injury!
1. Set the On/Off switch to its OFF position and disconnect the power plug from the
power socket.
2. Clean the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Note: In order to clean the housing, do not use any aggressive, common house-
hold cleaning agents or any chemicals (e.g. solvents, petroleum ether). If
necessary, only use cleaning products specifically approved for cleaning
shredders.
Note: It is not permitted to clean the shredder housing, infeeds or cutting mecha-
nism attachment with a pressure washer, compressed air or air duster.

Attention : Le non respect de ces marques de sécurité peut provoquer des blessures
corporelles graves ! Si jamais un objet (manche, cravatte etc.) devait par
inadvertance parvenir dans un des introducteurs, retirez immédiatement la
fiche de secteur de la prise de courant ou appuyez sur la touche ECS
éclairée en bleu !
Instructions de sécurité : La prise de courant doit se trouver à proximité de l'appareil
et être facile d'accès. Vous pouvez ainsi, en cas d'urgence,
séparer rapidement l'appareil du réseau.
1.2 Directives relatives à la sécurité électrique
Attention : Contrôlez si les données de tension de l'appareil correspondent bien à cel-
les de votre réseau électrique ; voir chapitre „Données techniques“ !
● Retirez la fiche de contact de la prise de courant
● avant de vider la corbeille
● avant un non-usage prolongé
● avant de nettoyer l'appareil
● avant de déplacer l'appareil
● En cas de dommage du câble d'alimentation, de la fiche de secteur ou de l'appareil
lui-même, ne mettez plus celui-ci en marche (danger de blessures) !

2 Utilisation conforme aux prescriptions
● N'utilisez le destructeur de documents ECS 510.3 CCD que pour détruire du papier,
des CDs, des DVDs ou des cartes de crédit ; les introduire dans les introducteurs
prévus à cet effet ! Le matériau à détruire doit être sec et répondre aux exigences
mentionnées au chapitre „Données techniques“ ! La destruction d'autres matériaux
pourrait vous blesser (par ex. par la projection d'éclats de matériaux solides, etc.) ou
endommager votre appareil (par ex. comme la destruction du bloc de coupe).
● Retirez tous les trombones avant d'introduire le papier dans l'appareil !
● Ne détruisez pas de formulaires en continu, d'étiquettes et d'enveloppes avec cet
appareil ! Cela endommage le bloc de coupe et vous perdez vos droits de garantie.
● N'utilisez votre appareil que dans des espaces secs et fermés.
● L'appareil n'est pas conçu pour l'emploi industriel. Tenez compte du cycle de

4 Mise en service
1. Retirez prudemment l'appareil de son emballage.
Attention : La face inférieure du cache du bloc de coupe est pourvue d'angles vifs.
Risque de blessures !
2. Posez l'appareil sur une surface plane.
3. Placez l'appareil à proximité d'une prise de courant. Mais ne mettez toutefois pas
l'appareil près d'une source de chaleur ou d'eau.
4. Mettez la corbeille en place.
Remarque : Le destructeur de documents ne fonctionne que lorsque la corbeille origi-
nale est correctement posée.
5. Mettez l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt en position OFF.
6. Mettez le câble d'alimentation dans la prise de courant.
Remarque : Veillez à ce que le câble d'alimentation ne fasse jamais obstacle et que
des personnes ou des animaux ne puissent pas marcher dessus ou que
d'autres objets ne soient pas posés dessus. Tenez compte des données
relatives à l'alimentation en énergie situées sur la face arrière de l'appareil,
vous permettant ainsi de prendre les mesures de précaution nécessaires.
Instructions de sécurité : La prise de courant et le branchement sur secteur de
l'appareil doivent, pour des raisons de sécurité, se trouver à
proximité de l'appareil et être faciles d'accès afin que
l'alimentation en courant puisse être rapidement interrompue
en cas d'urgence !
5 Manipulation
Remarque : La capacité recommandée au chapitre „Données techniques“ ne doit pas
être dépassée car sinon un bourrage se produit ! Tenez compte du fait que
l'épaisseur du papier augmente quand il est plié et que la capacité de feuil-
les recommandée peut ainsi être dépassée. Réduisez également la quanti-
té de papier quand celui-ci est à grosses fibres.
5.1 Mettre l'appareil sous tension
● Mettez l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt en position ON.
L'affichage vert “Appareil allumé” s'allume.
L'appareil est prêt à fonctionner.

5.2 La fonction ECS (fonctionnement automatique)
La fonction ECS3 démarre automatiquement la destruction dans le bloc de coupe dès
que du matériau est introduit dans l'introducteur :
● L'appareil déclenche la marche avant et fait entrer le matériau.
● 5 secondes après la destruction, l'appareil s'éteint automatiquement.
Vous activez la fonction ECS en appuyant sur la touche Automatique (touche ECS). La
touche ECS s'allume alors en bleu.
Remarque : En fonctionnement ECS, vous pouvez détruire du papier en le faisant pas-
ser par l'introducteur de papier, des CDs et des DVDs via l'introducteur de
CDs ainsi que des cartes de crédit par l'intermédiaire de l'introducteur de
cartes de crédit. Seul un introducteur peut être utilisé à la fois. Si vous uti-
lisez plus d'un introducteur, l'appareil s'arrête. Tenez également compte
des quantités autorisées de matériau à détruire.
Remarque : En fonctionnement ECS, l'appareil a une très faible consommation de cou-
rant.
5.3 Détruire du papier
Remarque : Maximum 10 feuilles DIN A4 d'un poids maximal de 70 g/m
2.
Remarque : Éliminez les matériaux étrangers au papier comme par ex. les trombones
ou les étiquettes.
1. L'appareil est sous tension et se trouve en fonction ECS.
2. Introduisez le papier dans l'introducteur de papier.
5.4 Détruire des CDs ou des DVDs
Remarque : 1 CD ou 1 DVD au maximum par opération de destruction.
1. L'appareil est sous tension et se trouve en fonction ECS.
2. Introduisez le CD ou le DVD dans l'introducteur de CDs.
5.5 Détruire des cartes de crédit
Remarque : 1 carte de crédit au maximum par opération de destruction.
1. L'appareil est sous tension et se trouve en fonction ECS.
2. Introduisez la carte de crédit dans l'introducteur de cartes de crédit.
5.6 Arrêt d'urgence
Si l'appareil se trouve en fonctionnement ECS (fonctionnement automatique) ou bien en
marche avant ou en marche arrière, vous pouvez, en cas d'urgence, arrêter
immédiatement l'appareil en appuyant sur la touche ECS.
5.7 Débrancher l'appareil
Mettez l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt en position OFF.

7 Protection du moteur
Le moteur se débranche automatiquement en cas de surcharge. Dans ce cas, l'affichage
rouge “Moteur surchauffé” s'allume.
1. Retirez la fiche de la prise de courant et laissez refroidir le moteur jusqu'à ce qu'il soit
à la température ambiante.
2. Remettez la fiche de secteur dans la prise de courant et poursuivez l'opération.
Remarque : Tenez compte du cycle de fonctionnement indiqué au chapitre „Données
techniques“.
8 Éliminer un bourrage
Si trop de matériau (papier, CD, DVD, carte de crédit) a été introduit dans le bloc de
coupe, un bourrage se produit. En cas de bourrage, l'appareil s'éteint. Dans ce cas,
l'affichage rouge “Bourrage de matériau” s'allume.
Procédez comme suit :
● Ou bien le destructeur de documents refo lui-même (recul ule le matériau de
automatique) ou bien vous devez démarrer manuellement la marche arrière, voir
chapitre “Marche arrière (touche REV)".
● Libérez les introducteurs des restes de matériau via la marche avant, voir chapitre
“Marche avant (touche FWD)”.
● Branchez, le cas échéant, l'appareil alternativement en marche avant et marche
arrière jusqu'à ce qu'il n'y ait plus de matériau dans les introducteurs.

● Le cas échéant, supprimez manuellement les restes de matériau existant dans les
introducteurs, voir chapitre “Supprimer manuellement les restes de matériau des
introducteurs”.
● Rebranchez l'appareil en fonction ECS.
● Réduisez la quantité de matériau à détruire.
● Veillez à ce que le matériau soit introduit dans l'introducteur correct (le papier dans
l'introducteur large de papier, les CDs/DVDs dans l'introducteur étroit de CDs et les
cartes de crédit dans le petit introducteur de cartes de crédit).
8.1 Marche arrière (touche REV)
Appuyez sur la touche REV afin que le bloc de coupe tourne en marche arrière et libère
à nouveau le matériau.
Remarque : Si un bourrage s'est produit dans l'introducteur de papier, vous devez en
plus contrôler si des restes de papier se trouvent dans l'introducteur de
papier et les éliminer manuellement le cas échéant !
8.2 Marche avant (touche FWD)
Appuyez sur la touche FWD pour détruire un éventuel reste de matériau et le retirer du
bloc de coupe.
Remarque : On a besoin de la touche FWD après l'élimination d'un bourrage pour faire
tourner le bloc de coupe sans introduire de matériau.
8.3 Supprimer manuellement les restes de matériau des
introducteurs
1. Mettez l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt en position OFF et retirez la fiche de secteur de la
prise de courant.
2. Supprimez avec précaution les restes de matériau coincés dans le bloc de coupe à
l'aide d'un outil approprié.
3. Replacez la fiche de secteur dans la prise de courant et remettez l'interrupteur
Marche/Arrêt en position ON.
9 Entretien et maintenance
Attention : Les travaux de maintenance doivent uniquement être effectués quand la
fiche de secteur est retirée !
9.1 Vider la corbeille
Vous devez vider la corbeille, au plus tard quand l'affichage rouge “Corbeille pleine”
s'allume.
1. Mettez l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt en position OFF.
2. Tirez la corbeille vers l'avant pour la faire sortir de l'appareil.
3. Videz son contenu dans un endroit approprié.
4. Repoussez la corbeille dans l'appareil.

Remarque : Il est recommandé de ne pas remplir la corbeille jusqu'au bloc de coupe.
Vous évitez ainsi un reflux du matériau dans le bloc de coupe. Videz la
corbeille régulièrement.
Remarque : Si la corbeille est retirée de l'appareil, le destructeur de documents n'est
plus prêt à fonctionner. Le destructeur de documents ne fonctionne que
lorsque la corbeille originale est correctement posée.
9.2 Huiler le bloc de coupe
Afin que vous profitiez longtemps de votre destructeur de documents, nous vous
recommandons de retirer régulièrement les résidus se trouvant dans les blocs de coupe
et de mettre un peu d'huile spéciale pour destructeur de documents sur les lames
coupantes. Vous obtiendrez de l'huile spéciale sans CFC chez votre revendeur ou
directement dans notre centre de services à Hattingen. Vous prolongerez ainsi la durée
de vie de l'appareil.
● Après chaque vidage de corbeille, appliquez de l'huile spéciale en traçant plusieurs
lignes transversales sur une feuille de papier adéquate et en faisant passer cette
feuille dans le bloc de coupe en fonctionnement ECS.

9.3 Nettoyer l'appareil
Instructions de sécurité : L'utilisation de matériaux légèrement inflammables est

1. Mettez l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt en position OFF et retirez la fiche de secteur de la
prise de courant.
2. N'ettoyez l'appareil de l'extérieur avec un chiffon doux légèrement humidifié.
Remarque : Pour le nettoyage du boîtier, n'utilisez ni des produits de nettoyage ag-
gressifs ou de consommation courante, ni des produits chimiques (par ex.
essence, alcool). Utilisez tout au plus exclusivement des produits de net-
toyage spécialement autorisés pour destructeurs de documents.
Remarque : Le nettoyage du boîtier de l'appareil, des orifices d'introduction ou du ca-
che du bloc de coupe avec un nettoyeur à haute pression, de l'air compri-

1 Disposizioni di sicurezza importanti
Prima dell'utilizzo del dispositivo, leggere con attenzione le presenti istruzioni in modo da
poter successivamente usufruire di tutte le funzioni del distruggidocumenti. Conservare il
manuale per impiego futuro.
● Tenere il dispositivo lontano dai bambini e da animali domestici!
Il dispositivo va utilizzato esclusivamente da persone adulte.
● Il dispositivo può essere utilizzato solo da una persona per volta.
● Non eseguire durante l'esercizio dell'apparecchio altri interventi come ad es. di
pulizia.
● Non lasciare l'apparecchio incustodito mentre è in funzione.
● Proteggere il dispositivo dai raggi solari diretti, da calore estremo e dall'umidità!
● Non riparare mai il dispositivo autonomamente. Pericolo di lesioni! In caso di
inosservanza cessa il diritto di garanzia. Affidare eventuali riparazioni solo a
personale tecnico qualificato.

Attenzione: L'inosservanza di questi simboli di sicurezza può essere causa di gravi le-
sioni fisiche! In caso di introduzione accidentale di un oggetto (maniche,
cravatte, ecc.) nelle fessure di inserimento, scollegare immediatamente la
spina dalla presa di corrente oppure premere il tasto ECS acceso di blu!
Indicazione di sicurezza: La presa deve trovarsi in prossimità del dispositivo ed
essere facilmente accessibile. In caso d'emergenza è così
possibile scollegare rapidamente il dispositivo dalla rete.
1.2 Direttive per la sicurezza elettrica
Attenzione: Verificare se il valore di tensione riportato sull'apparecchio coincide con
quello della propria rete elettrica, si veda il capitolo „Specifiche tecniche“!
● Estrarre la spina di alimentazione dalla presa di corrente
● prima di svuotare il recipiente di raccolta
● in previsione di un periodo prolungato di inutilizzo
● prima di sottoporre il dispositivo a pulizia
● prima di cambiare posto al dispositivo
● Non mettere più in funzione l'apparecchio in caso di danni al cavo di rete, alla spina di
alimentazione o all'apparecchio stesso (pericolo di lesioni)!
● Non compiere modifiche al cavo di rete visto che risulta progettato per la tensione di
rete indicata.
● Utilizzare solo cavi di prolunga autorizzati. Evitare l'uso di prese multiple, di adattatori
o di cavi di prolunga non omologati.
● Evitare un eccesso di carico rispetto alla potenza della presa di corrente consigliata o
di un cavo di prolunga eventualmente allacciato!
Attenzione: È vietato aprire la copertura del gruppo di taglio a scopo di riparazione. Pe-
ricolo di vita! In caso di inosservanza cessa il diritto di garanzia.
2 Impiego conforme agli usi previsti
● Il distruggidocumenti ECS 510.3 CCD è destinato unicamente alla frantumazione di
carta, CD, DVD o carte di credito introdotti nelle apposite fessure di inserimento! Il
materiale da frantumare deve essere asciutto e conforme ai requisiti indicati nel
capitolo „Specifiche tecniche“! La frantumazione di altri materiali può essere causa di
lesioni (ad es. dovute alla scheggiatura di materiali rigidi ecc.) o danni al dispositivo
(ad es. distruzione del gruppo di taglio).
● Rimuovere tutte le graffette prima di introdurre la carta nel dispositivo!
● Non distruggere con questo apparecchio moduli continui, adesivi e plichi! Ciò può
danneggiare il gruppo di taglio e determinare la cessazione del diritto di garanzia.
● L'apparecchio va usato esclusivamente in ambienti chiusi e asciutti.
● L'apparecchio non è progettato per un impiego commerciale. Osservare il ciclo di
esercizio indicato nel capitolo „Specifiche tecniche“.

4 Messa in funzione
1. Liberare il dispositivo cautamente dall'imballaggio.
Attenzione: Sul lato inferiore della copertura del gruppo di taglio si trovano angoli ap-
puntiti. Pericolo di lesioni!
2. Ubicare il dispositivo su una superficie piana.
3. Posizionare il dispositivo nelle vicinanze di una presa di corrente. Ad ogni modo
evitare di ubicare il dispositivo in prossimità di una sorgente di calore o in prossimità
di acqua.
4. Introdurre il recipiente di raccolta.
Nota: Il distruggidocumenti funziona solo con recipiente di raccolta originale cor-
rettamente in posizione.
5. Passare con l'interruttore di inserimento/disinserimento in posizione OFF.
6. Introdurre il cavo di rete nella presa di corrente.
Nota: Evitare la posa del cavo di alimentazione nei punti di passaggio in modo
da evitare che persone o animali lo possano calpestare o che vi vengano
poggiati sopra altri oggetti. Osservare le indicazioni sull'alimentazione elet-
trica riportate sul retro del dispositivo applicando le dovute precauzioni.
Indicazione di sicurezza: Per motivi di sicurezza è necessario assicurare che presa di
corrente e porta di alimentazione del dispositivo si trovino
nelle vicinanze del dispositivo e che siano liberamente
accessibili in modo da poter scollegare rapidamente, in caso
d'emergenza, l'alimentazione elettrica!
5 Esercizio
Nota: Non è consentito superare la capacità descritta nel capitolo „Specifiche
tecniche“ visto altrimenti il pericolo che il materiale si inceppi! Si prega inol-
tre di tenere presente che lo spessore della carta aumenta in presenza di
pieghe, circostanza che riduce la capacità di distruzione dei fogli. Ridurre
la quantità di carta anche se si desidera distruggere carta grezza.
5.1 Accensione dell'apparecchio
● Passare con l'interruttore di inserimento/disinserimento in posizione ON.
La spia verde “Apparecchio inserito” è accesa.
L'apparecchio è pronto all'esercizio.

7 Protezione motore
Il motore si spegne automaticamente in caso di surriscaldamento. In questo caso si
accende l'indicatore rosso “Motore surriscaldato”.
1. Scollegare la spina di alimentazione dalla presa elettrica e lasciare raffreddare il
motore fino a quando non avrà di nuovo raggiunto la temperatura ambiente.
2. Ricollegare la spina di alimentazione alla presa e proseguire l'esercizio.
Nota: Osservare il ciclo di esercizio indicato nel capitolo „Specifiche tecniche“.
8 Eliminazione di materiale inceppato
In caso di inserimento di troppo materiale nel gruppo di taglio (carta, CD, DVD, carta di
credito), il materiale si inceppa. In caso di intasamento l'apparecchio si spegne. In questo
caso si accende l'indicatore rosso “Intasamento”.
Procedere come segue:
● Il distruggidocumenti rimuove autonomamente il materiale (indietreggiamento
automatico) oppure è necessario avviare manualmente la retromarcia, si veda il
capitolo “Retromarcia (tasto REV)”.
● Rimuovere eventuali residui di materiale dalle fessure di inserimento avanzando in
avanti, si veda il capitolo “Marcia in avanti (tasto FWD)”.
● Passare con l'apparecchio alternando e marcia in avanti tra retromarcia, fino a
quando il materiale inceppato risulta rimosso dalle fessure di inserimento.

● Rimuovere manualmente eventuali residui di materiale ancora presenti dalle fessure
di inserimento, si veda il capitolo “Rimozione manuale di residui di materiale dai
caricatori”.
● Passare con l'apparecchio di nuovo alla modalità ECS.
● Ridurre la quantità di materiale da frantumare.
● Fare attenzione ad inserire il materiale nel caricatore corretto (carta nel caricatore
carta largo, CD/DVD nel caricatore CD stretto e carte di credito nel caricatore carte di
credito piccolo).
8.1 Retromarcia (tasto REV)
Premere il tasto REV facendo avanzare il gruppo di taglio in retromarcia e liberandolo
così dal materiale.
Nota: In presenza di un intasamento nel caricatore carta, verificare la presenza
di residui di carta nel caricatore carta e rimuoverli se occorre!
8.2 Marcia in avanti (tasto FWD)
Premere il tasto FWD per frantumare residui di materiale eventualmente presenti e
rimuoverli quindi dal gruppo di taglio.
Nota: Il tasto FWD consente, una volta rimosso il materiale inceppato, il riavvio
del gruppo di taglio anche senza precedente inserimento di materiale.
8.3 Rimozione manuale di residui di materiale dai
caricatori
1. Passare con l'interruttore di inserimento/disinserimento in posizione OFF ed estrarre
la spina di alimentazione dalla presa di corrente.
2. Rimuovere con cautela i residui di materiale incastrati nel gruppo di taglio con un
apposito utensile.
3. Ricollegare quindi la spina di alimentazione alla presa di corrente e passare con
l'interruttore di inserimento/disinserimento alla posizione ON.
9 Manutenzione e cura
Attenzione: I lavori di manutenzione vanno eseguiti solo con spina di alimentazione
scollegata!
9.1 Svuotamento del recipiente di raccolta
Il recipiente di raccolta va svuotato al più tardi quando si accende la spia rossa
“Recipiente di raccolta pieno”.
1. Passare con l'interruttore di inserimento/disinserimento in posizione OFF.
2. Rimuovere il recipiente di raccolta dal dispositivo tirandolo in avanti.
3. Svuotarne adeguatamente il contenuto.
4. Riposizionare il recipiente di raccolta nell'apparecchio.
