Introduction
1.1 Overview
This chapter provides an outline of the functions and features of the SuperServer 220P-C9R(T).
The following provides an overview of the specications and capabilities.

Processor Dual 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable in P+ (LGA-4189) socket

16 DIMM slots for up to 4TB of 3DS LRDIMM/LRDIMM/3DS RDIMM/RDIMM DDR4
ECC memory,
plus 2 slots for up to 4TB Intel Optane PMem 200 Series with speeds of 3200MHz.
Note: PMem 200 Series are supported on 3rd gen Intel Xeon Scalable Platinum,
Gold and selected Silver processors.

16 hot-swap drive bays including 8 SAS, and 8 SATA, optionally 4 SATA bays can
be converted to NVMe which leaves 4 SATA bays.

The following safety models associated with the 220P-C9R(T) have been certied as compliant
with UL or CSA: 213-R12X12, 213-12.
Network Connection Options
• 220P-C9R using motherboard X12DPI-N6 provides two 1GbE ports.
• 220P-C9RT using motherboard X12DPI-NT6 provides two 10GbE ports.

Control Panel Features
Feature Description
Power button Applies or removes primary power from the power supply to the server but maintains standby
power
Reset button Resets the system
Power LED
Steady on – Power on
Blinking at 4Hz – Checking BIOS/BMC integrity
Blinking at 4Hz and Information LED is blue – BIOS rmware updating
Two blinks at 4Hz, one pause 2Hz, and Information LED is blue – BMC rmware updating
Blinking at 1Hz and Information LED is red – Fault detected
Drives Indicates activity on the storage drives when ashing
NIC LEDs Indicates network activity on LANs when ashing
Power Fail LED Indicates one of the power supply modules has failed
Information LED Alerts operator to several states, as noted in the table below

Color, Status Description
Red, solid An overheat condition has occurred.
Red, blinking at 1Hz Fan failure, check for an inoperative fan.
Red, blinking at 0.25Hz Power failure, check for a non-operational power
supply.

green Fault detected
Blue and red, blinking at 10 Hz Recovery mode

Blue, blinking at 1Hz UID has been activated using the BMC to locate
the server in a rack environment.
Blue, blinking at 2Hz BMC is resetting

Blue, blinking at 10Hz with Power LED
blinking green BMC/BIOS rmware is updating
