This manual contains instructions and warnings that must be followed during the installation and operation of the product

described in this manual. Failure to comply may invalidate the warranty.

• The instructions in this manual are for common rack and rack enclosure types and may not be appropriate for all mounting applications. You

must determine the ﬁtness of hardware and procedures before mounting. If hardware or procedures are not suitable for your application,

contact the manufacturer of your rack or rack enclosure for a solution.

• Before applying adhesive strips, measure carefully to assure proper alignment. SRFILTER kit comes ready to install in 48U rack enclosures.

Vertical hook-and-loop strips must be trimmed accordingly to accommodate 42U and 25U enclosures.

SRFILTER Kit Beneﬁts:

strips (3 pieces)

B 40” L x 1.5” W vertical hook-and-loop

strips (4 pieces)

C 7/8” diameter circular hook-and-loop

Installation Procedure

1 Remove self-adhesive backing strips and

install the 3 horizontal hook-and-loop

strips to the top, middle and bottom non-

perforated sections inside the SmartRack

door frame.

2 Following the same procedure, install the

4 vertical hook-and-loop strips to the non-

perforated inside frame of the SmartRack

door.

The SRFILTER kit is prefabricated for the Note:

vertical strips to ﬁt a 48U enclosure. For 42U

and 25U enclosures, measure ﬁrst and cut

accordingly before removing the self-adhesive

backing.

3 Remove the self-adhesive backing and

install the 12 circular hook-and-loop pieces

in a staggered pattern on the perforated

portion of the door.

Be sure to space the pieces appropriately Note:

to ensure complete coverage of the door to

enable a snug ﬁt.

4 Install the ﬁlter on the inside of the door

along all the hook-and-loop pieces.

The ﬁlter is also prefabricated to ﬁt 48U Note:

enclosures. For 42U and 25U enclosures, be

sure to measure and cut accordingly before

installation.

When a ﬁlter becomes dirty or worn from use, be sure to replace it. Hook-and-loop pieces can remain attached to door, with no need for

replacement.
