IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed:

1. Read all instructions carefully.

2. Make sure the power supply corresponds to one on the rating label.

3. To avoid electrical shock, do not immerse electrical parts in water or other liquid.

4. Do not allow children to operate or play with the appliance.

5. Unplug from outlet when not in use, or before putting on/taking off parts.

6. Do not use with damaged electrical cord or plug.

7. If damaged or malfunction occurs, refer to an authorized service center only.

8. Do not place on or near hot surfaces.

9. Never pull the appliance by the power cord.

10. Do not use the appliance for other than intended household use.

Read These Instructions

1. Before first use, remove all packing materials/stickers then wash the accessories & cooking pan in warm water.

2. Use the measuring cup provided for the required quantity of rice.

3. A fine mesh sieve is the most effective way to wash the rice thoroughly under cold water before cooking. These remove excess

starch which helps to achieve fluffier rice.

4. Place the washed rice in the removable pan. Add fresh water to the level indicated on the removable pan or quantity of water

specified.

5. Replace the lid. Insert the plug into the mains supply.

6. Push down the automatic control lever, ‘COOK’ indicator light will turn on.

7. When cooking is complete, the unit will automatically switch to “KEEP WARM” mode.

8. Use the plastic spoon supplied when taking rice out of the pan, do not use metal utensils.

9. Do not keep rice in the cooker for extended period of time on “KEEP WARM” mode as the rice becomes dry and the quality

deteriorates.

Warning:

This appliance is equipped with a grounded, Type G, 3-pin power supply cord. This is a safety feature. Do not attempt to defeat the

safety purpose of this plug.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Make sure the unit is Unplugged before cleaning.

2. Removable pan, lid, measuring cup & serving spoon should be washed in warm water.

3. DO NOT use harsh abrasives to clean the removable cooking pan as these will damage the non-stick coating surface. The exterior

of the unit can be wiped over with a damp cloth.

Disposal of your old appliance

1. When this crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is attached to a product it means the product is covered by the

European Directive 2002/96/EC.

2. All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from the municipal waste stream via

designated collection facilities appointed by the government or the local authorities.

3. The correct disposal of your old appliance will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment

and human health.

4. For more detailed information about disposal of your old appliance, please contact your city office, waste disposal

service or the shop where you purchase the product.
