Safety
General requirements for household electrical appliances
• Theproduct may be used by children of 8 years and above and
by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability
or lack of experience and knowledge provided they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of theproduct
in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by
children without adult supervision.
Particular requirements for room heaters
Warning: Nevercover theproduct. Ifcovered, there is
arisk of overheating or evenfire.

• Theproduct can become very hot during use and causeburns.
Burnhazard. Special care must be taken if theproduct is used
in thesame room as young children, aged or infirm persons.
• Theproduct must never be placed directly beneath awall socket.
• Never use theproduct in theimmediate vicinity of bathtubs,
showers or swimmingpools.
• Theappliance must be kept out of reach of children under
3years of age unless they are under constant supervision.

• Children between theages of 3 and 8 years must only switch
theappliance on/off provided that it has been placed or installed
in its intended normal operating position and they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of theappliance
in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.
• Children between theages of 3 and 8 years must not plug in,
regulate and clean theappliance or perform user maintenance.
Safety instructions
Warning: Dangerous voltage
• Theproduct should not be used if it is in any way damaged
or malfunctioning. Donot use theproduct if themains lead or
plug is damaged in anyway.
• Themains lead must be changed if damaged. Thisis to
prevent therisk of electric shock or fire and should only be
carried out by themanufacturer, qualified service facility or
qualified technician.
• Theproduct must not be taken apart or modified. Certain
unshielded components inside thehousing carry dangerous
voltages. Contact with these can lead to fire or electricshock.
• Never lower theproduct into water or other liquids.
• Never touch thecontrol panel or plug with wethands.
• Never use theproduct in therain or in wet conditions.
Warning
• Never leave theproduct unattended while inuse.
• Do not touch any hot surfaces on theproduct; doing so could
result inburns. Nevermove theproduct while it is in use or
before it has cooleddown.
• Fire hazard. Flammable materials such as furniture, paper,
clothing and curtains must be at kept at adistance of at least
120cm away from thefront of theproduct above and at least
50cm in all other directions.
