Installation
1. Start the computer.
2. Connect Doro 225IPC USB phone to an available USB port.
3. Wait until the automatic installation is complete. Restart computer if necessary.
4. Install the softphone software you intend to use and set it so that you can use Doro
225IPC. If you want to use Skype, see Skype Installation and Skype with Doro225.
Please note!
Doro 225IPC may now be the standard unit for playing/recording audio and music, depending on
which operating system is being used. If you want to use another sound card/loudspeaker for playing/
recording audio/music you can make the necessary alterations via Start Settings Control panel,
Multimedia/Audio and Audio. If there is more than one USB port and the port is changed, Doro
225IPC will be seen as a new unit that is installed automatically. The keypad will work only if your
softphone software supports it.

Installation of Skype and Skype with Doro225
In order for Doro 225IPC to function correctly with Skype, the Skype with
Doro225 software must be installed on the computer.
1. Insert the provided CD-ROM in your computer. The installation will start automatically
(if the installation does not start, please run Setup.exe on the CD-ROM unit).
2. The User Manual can be accessed by clicking on Manual.
3. Install Skype by clicking on Install Skype.
If it is the rst time that Skype is used, enter a Skype name and password. If Skype
has been installed already, (must be version 1.0.0.106 or later), skip this and move
on to next step.
4. Install by clicking Install Skype with Doro225. When installation is complete
you will be asked if Skype with Doro225 should have permission to use Skype.
Permit this by clicking on Ok.
When installation is complete will be shown in the message eld at the bottom of the
right side of the computer screen. By right clicking on you can select language, adjust
the volume, get help and download upgrades of Skype with Doro225.
