IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using this appliance, basic precauons should always be followed, including the

following:

1. Read all instrucons before using .

2. Never immerse the toaster in water or any other liquids.

3. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or aer the appliance

malfuncons, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to manufacturer

or the nearest authorized service agent for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical

adjustment.

4. Do not let the power cord hang over edge of table or counter or hot surface.

5. To disconnect the plug from wall outlet, grasp the plug and not the cord.

6. Do not leave the appliance unaended while it is operang.

7. Always use the appliance on a at, stable and heat resistant surface.

8. While operang the appliance, do not touch the product body.

9. Note: Oversize food, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted into the toaster

as they may cause re, burnt or electrical shock.

10. Place the appliance away from curtains, and other combusble material.

11. Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers or that ELBA does not

specically recommend.

12. Do not aempt to dislodge food when toaster is in operaon.

13. Do not use the toaster without its crumb tray in place. The crumb tray should be cleaned

regularly.

14. Be careful when removing the bread from the toaster to avoid injuries.

15. This appliance is not intended for used by persons (including children) with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilies, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they

have been given supervision or instrucon concerning use of the appliances by a person

responsible for their safety.

16. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

17. Unplug the plug from wall outlet when not in use, before pung on or taking off parts

and before cleaning.

18. This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet

in your house is well earthed.

19. The product has been designed for domesc and household use only. Any commercial use,

inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instrucons, the manufacturer accepts no

responsibility and the warranty will not apply.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

As there is residue or oil remained in the toaster or heang element, it usually will emit the

odour for the rst use. It is normal and will not occur aer several mes use. For the rst use

it is suggested to operate according to the below steps, except without bread. Then let the

toaster cool down and begin toasng the rst slice.

OPERATING THE BREAD MAKER

1. Remove all packaging and place the toaster on a at, stable and heat resistant surface.

2. Check inside the bread slots to ensure everything has been removed.

3. Connect the plug to the wall outlet and power on the toaster.

4. Do not place bread in the toaster for the rst use. Instead, lower the bread carriage lever to

allow the heang elements to preheat and burn o any dust and residues which may have

accumulated during manufacturing or assembly.

5. Once the above is completed, do not operate the toaster when empty.

6. Insert two slices of bread into the bread slots. The bread carriage lever must be in the up

posion when inserng the bread slices.

7. Set the browning level for the bread by adjusng the browning control knob according to your

desired degree of browning. There are 7 levels the lowest brownish is at “1”. The posion “3”

can toast the bread to golden colour colour . Respecvely, posion “7” delivers the darkest

result. It is always advisable to start the toasng at lowest level rst and then adjust

accordingly.

Note: Browed colour of single bread is darker than that of double bread at the same level.

Always try from the lower level to the higher level to avoid over toasted.

8. Press the bread carriage lever down vercally unl it is posioned in place, the indicator of

Cancel will be illuminated and toasng begins. Once the bread has been toasted to the pre-
