DRYER SAFETY

IMPORTANT: When discarding or storing your old clothes dryer, remove the door.

CHECK YOUR VENT SYSTEM FOR GOOD AIR FLOW

Good air ow

Along with heat, dryers require good air ow to efciently

dry laundry. Proper venting will reduce your drying times

and improve your energy savings. See “Installation

Instructions”.

The venting system attached to the dryer plays a big role in

good air ow.

Service calls caused by improper venting are not covered

by the warranty and will be paid by the customer, regardless

of who installed the dryer.

Maintain good air ow by:

n Cleaning your lint screen before each load.

n Replace plastic or foil vent material

with 4" (102 mm) diameter heavy, rigid

vent material.

Good Better

n Use the shortest length of vent possible.

n Use no more than four 90° elbows in a vent system;

each bend and curve reduces air ow.

n Remove lint and debris from the exhaust hood.

n Remove lint from the entire length of the vent system

at least every 2 years. When cleaning is complete, be

sure to follow the “Installation Instructions” supplied

with your dryer for nal product check.

n Clear away items from in front of the dryer.

Use Sensor cycles for better fabric care and energy savings

Use the Sensor Cycles to provide the most energy savings and enhanced fabric care from the dryer. During Sensor Cycles,

drying air temperature and moisture level are sensed in the load. This sensing occurs throughout the drying cycle and the dryer

shuts off when the load reaches the selected dryness. Use the NORMAL dryness level to provide optimal energy savings.

With Timed Cycles, the dryer runs the amount of time set and sometimes results in shrinkage, wrinkling, and static due to

over-drying. Use Timed Cycles for the occasional damp load that needs a little more drying time or when using the drying rack.

Tips for getting the best performance from your steam dryer

n Results may vary depending on fabric. 100% cotton

garments with wrinkle-free nish may yield better results

than those without. 100% cotton items may require

additional touching up after the Steam Cycle.

n Use of fabric softener sheet is not recommended with

Steam Cycles. It may cause temporary staining on clothes.

n It is not recommended to use Steam Cycles for items that

have been starched. Wash any starched or new garments

prior to using a Steam Cycle.

n The Auto Refresh cycle is best for reducing light wrinkles in

small to medium-sized loads of dry garments. For the Auto

Refresh cycle, dry time automatically adjusts as the load

size is sensed. Cycle run time cannot be manually adjusted.

n The Custom Refresh cycle (on some models) is best

for reducing wrinkles and odors in dry garments. For

the Custom Refresh cycle, cycle times change depending

on the number of garments you select to be refreshed.

CYCLE OPTIONS

Use these buttons to select available options for your

dryer. Not all cycles and options are available on all

models.

Wrinkle Prevent/Wrinkle Prevent with Steam

(on some models)

If you will be unable to remove a load immediately,

press Wrinkle Prevent to add up to 150 minutes of

periodic tumbling to help reduce wrinkling. On models

with Wrinkle Prevent with Steam, a short steam cycle is

added after 60 minutes to help smooth out wrinkles.

Drum Light

Press to turn the drum light on or off. The light will

also turn on when the door is open, and turn off

automatically after about 5 minutes.

Damp Dry Signal

When selected, a signal will sound during the drying

cycle when the load is damp but not completely dry.

This will allow you to take clothes out of the load that

do not need to dry completely. This option is available

on Heavy Duty, Normal, Denim, Bulky, Wrinkle

Control, Sheets, Active Wear, Towels and Delicate

cycles.

NOTE: The Damp Dry signal defaults to “ON” when

using the Bulky cycle.

Cycle Signal

Use this button to turn the signal indicating the

end of a drying cycle on or off, or to adjust the

volume of the signal.

NOTE: You may also turn off the tones that sound

when a button is pressed. Press and hold the Cycle

Signal button for about three seconds to turn button

sounds on or off.

Reduce Static (on some models)

Press to add the Reduce Static option to selected

Sensor cycles (see Cycle Guide). The dryer will

automatically tumble, pause, and introduce a small

amount of moisture into the load to help reduce static.

This option adds approximately 8 minutes to the total

cycle time.

Steam Boost (on some models)

Steam Boost adds steam to the end of the Heavy Duty,

Bulky, Normal, Sheets, Towels, or Denim cycle to help

smooth wrinkles.

Airow

This indicator will show the status of airow through

the dryer during Sensor cycles. The Detecting light comes

on during the sensing phase at the beginning of cycle.

The Good light will come on if no major vent blockage is

detected. The Check Vent light will come on if a blocked

vent or low airow issue is detected. For more information

on maintaining good airow, see “Check Your Vent System

for Good Airow”. The Airow sensing feature is available

for Sensor cycles only.

NOTE: If there are other error issues during a cycle, the

Airow indicator will not light up. See “Dryer Displaying

Code Message” in “Troubleshooting”section.

Steam (on some models)

This indicator will light when the Steam function is active.

NOTE: Steam options are not available on all models

or on all cycles.

Done

This will indicate that the selected cycle has ended and

the load may be removed from the dryer. If the Wrinkle

Prevent option has been selected, the dryer may continue

to tumble the load, even if the DONE indicator is lit.

Check Lint Screen

The Check Lint Screen indicator will light when the drying

cycle is complete as a reminder to clean the lint screen.

Wrinkle Prevent

This indicator will light if the Wrinkle Prevent option

has been selected and is running. The dryer will continue

to periodically tumble the load for up to 150 minutes

(depending on model and selected settings) after the

cycle has ended.

LED DISPLAY AND SETTINGS BUTTONS

When you select a cycle, its default settings will light up

and the Estimated Time Remaining (for Sensor Cycles) or

actual time remaining (for Timed Cycles) will be displayed.

Use the buttons along the bottom of the display to adjust

settings. See “Cycle Guide” for available settings on each

cycle. Not all settings are available with all cycles.

Steam cycles are designed for use with dry loads to loosen wrinkles, reduce odors, and refresh fabrics.

Load Size Recommendations

For best results, follow the load size recommendations noted for

each cycle.

Small load: Fill the dryer drum with 3-4 items,

not more than 1/4 full.

Medium load: Fill the dryer drum up to about 1/2 full.

Large load: Fill the dryer drum up to about 3/4 full.

Adjusting drying time on Timed Cycles

When you select a Timed Cycle,

the default time appears in the display.

Use the and buttons to increase + –

or decrease the time in 1 minute

increments. Press and hold to change

the time in 5 minute increments.

The maximum dry time is 100 minutes.

Selecting the Drying Temperature

A High heat setting may be used for drying heavyweight

items such as towels and work clothes.

A Low to Medium heat setting may be used for drying

medium-weight items such as sheets, blouses, dresses,

underwear, permanent press fabrics, and some knits.

Use a no heat (Air Only) setting for foam, rubber, plastic,

or heat-sensitive fabrics.

Line dry bonded or laminated fabrics.

NOTE: If you have questions about drying temperatures

for various loads, refer to the care label directions.

7. Press START/PAUSE to begin cycle

have selected a Sensor Cycle, Timed Cycle, or Steam Cycle.

See the “Cycle Guide” for detailed information.

Not all cycles are on all models.

Sensor Cycles:

You can select a different Dryness Level, depending on your

load, by pressing the Dryness Level button. Selecting Very,

More, Normal, Less, or Damp automatically adjusts the

Dryness Level at which the dryer will shut off. Once the

Dryness Level is set, it cannot be changed without stopping

the cycle.

Sensor cycles give the best drying in the shortest time.

Drying time varies based on fabric type, load size, and

dryness setting.

Timed Cycles:

When you select a Timed Cycle, the

default time appears in the display. Use

the and buttons to increase or decrease + -

the time in 1 minute increments. Press

and hold to change the time in 5 minute

increments.

The default temperature may be changed

by pressing the Temp Level button until the

desired dry temperature is lit.

Steam Cycles:

Auto Refresh with Steam:

Reduces odors and light wrinkles from small to medium-sized

loads of dry items. Dry time will automatically adjust when

the load size is sensed. Medium or High Temp Levels may be

selected.

Custom Refresh with Steam:

This cycle is best for reducing wrinkles and odors from dry

garments. Select the number of garments to be refreshed.

Cycle time will increase depending on number of garments

selected.

6. Select any additional options

Add additional options such as Reduce Static, Wrinkle Prevent,

Wrinkle Prevent with Steam and/or Steam Boost

by pressing the button for that option.

NOTE: Not all options and settings are available with all cycles.

Changing the Sensor Cycle settings

to increase drying time

If all your loads on all Sensor Cycles are consistently not

as dry as you would like or are too dry, you may change the

default settings to increase or decrease the default dryness

level.

Your sensor drying settings can be adjusted to adapt to

different installations, environmental conditions or personal

preference. This change is retained and will affect all of your

sensor cycles, not just the current cycle/load.

There are 5 drying settings, they will appear in the time

display:

01 Factory preset dryness level.

02 Slightly drier clothes, 15% more drying time.

03 Much drier clothes, 30% more drying time.

04 Much damper clothes, 30% less drying time.

05 Slightly damper clothes, 15% less drying time.

To change the drying settings:

NOTE: The settings cannot be changed while the dryer

is running or paused. The dryer must be in standby mode

(the Power button is off) to adjust the default settings.

1. Before starting a cycle, press and hold the Dryness

Level button for 6 seconds.

2. Press the Dryness Level button to select the dryness

level shown in the time display: 01, 02, 03, 04, or 05.

3. Press START/PAUSE to save the new dryness level

setting.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

2. Align the two hooks on the front of the drying rack with

the holes in the dryer door opening and press down fully

into holes. Rest the rear support on the dryer back ledge.

USING THE DRYING RACK

To obtain a drying rack for your dryer, follow the instructions

included in your dryer drum. Remove and discard any

packing material before use.

Use the Drying Rack for items that you do not want to

tumble dry, such as sweaters and tennis shoes. When you

use the drying rack, the drum continues to turn, but the rack

remains stationary.

The drying rack is intended for use with the Timed Dry

cycles only. The drying rack cannot be used with

Sensor cycles.

To use the drying rack:

IMPORTANT: Do not remove the lint screen.

1. Open dryer door.

3. Place wet items on top of the drying rack. Allow space

around items for air to circulate. The drying rack does

not move, but the drum will rotate; be sure to leave

adequate clearance between items and the inside of

the dryer drum. Make sure items do not hang over the

edges or between drying rack grille.

4. Close the door.

5. Select a Timed Dry/Air Only, or Low Temperature cycle.

Items containing foam, rubber, or plastic must be dried

on a clothesline or by using the Air Only setting.

6. When the cycle is selected, the Estimated Time

Remaining display shows the default time. You can

change the actual time in the cycle by increasing or

decreasing the cycle time.

7. Start the dryer.

NOTE: Check the lint screen and remove any lint

accumulated from items dried on the drying rack

after the cycle is nished.

3. Turn bulb counterclockwise. Replace the bulb with

a 10-watt appliance bulb only. Replace the cover and

secure with the screw.

4. Plug in dryer or reconnect power.

CHANGING THE DRUM LIGHT

The dryer light automatically turns on inside the dryer drum

when you open the door.

To change the drum light:

1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.

2. Open the dryer door. Locate the light bulb cover on the

back wall of the dryer. Remove the screw located in the

lower right corner of the cover. Remove the cover.

WARNING

Electrical Shock Hazard

Disconnect power before servicing.

Replace all parts and panels before operating.

Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.

DRYER CARE

CLEANING THE DRYER LOCATION

Keep dryer area clear and free from items that would

block the air ow for proper dryer operation. This includes

clearing piles of laundry in front of the dryer.

CLEANING THE DRYER INTERIOR

To clean dryer drum

1. Use a mild hand dish detergent mixed at a low

concentration with very warm water, and rub with

a soft cloth.

2. Rinse well with a wet sponge or towel.

3. Tumble a load of clean clothes or towels to dry drum

Use a microber cloth and hot water in a spray bottle

to clean the drum and a second microber towel to dry.

NOTE: Garments that contain unstable dyes, such as

denim blue jeans or brightly colored cotton items, may

discolor the rear of the dryer interior. These stains are

not harmful to your dryer and will not stain future loads

of clothes. Dry unstable dye items inside out to avoid

transfer of dye.

REMOVING ACCUMULATED LINT

From Inside the Dryer Cabinet

Lint should be removed every 2 years, or more often,

depending on dryer usage. Cleaning should be done

by a qualied appliance servicer.

From the Exhaust Vent

Lint should be removed every 2 years, or more often,

depending on dryer usage.

CLEANING THE LINT SCREEN

Every load cleaning

The lint screen is located in the door opening of the dryer.

The control panel has an indicator light to remind you to

clean the lint screen after each load. A screen blocked

by lint will increase drying time.

To clean:

1. Pull the lint screen straight up. Roll lint off the screen

with your ngers. Do not rinse or wash screen to remove

lint. Wet lint is hard to remove.

2. Push the lint screen rmly back into place.

IMPORTANT:

n Do not run the dryer with the lint screen loose,

damaged, blocked, or missing. Doing so can cause

overheating and damage to both the dryer and fabrics.

n If lint falls off the screen into the dryer during removal,

check the exhaust hood and remove the lint. See

“Venting Requirements” in the “Installation Instructions”.

As needed cleaning

Laundry detergent and fabric softener residue can build

up on the lint screen. This buildup can cause longer drying

times for your clothes, or cause the dryer to stop before

your load is completely dry. The screen is probably clogged

if lint falls off while the screen is in the dryer.

Clean the lint screen with a nylon brush every 6 months,

or more frequently, if it becomes clogged due to a residue

buildup.

To wash:

1. Roll lint off the screen with your ngers.

2. Wet both sides of lint screen with hot water.

3. Wet a nylon brush with

hot water and liquid detergent.

Scrub lint screen with the brush

to remove residue buildup.

4. Rinse screen with hot water.

5. Thoroughly dry lint screen with a clean towel.

Reinstall screen in dryer.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

FOR STEAM MODELS

Water Inlet Hose

Replace inlet hose and hose screen after 5 years of use

to reduce the risk of hose failure. Periodically inspect and

replace inlet hose if bulges, kinks, cuts, wear, or leaks

are found.

When replacing your inlet hose, record the date

of replacement.

To Winterize the Dryer

1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.

2. Shut off water faucet.

3. Disconnect water inlet hose from faucet and drain.

To Use the Dryer Again

1. Flush water pipes. Reconnect water inlet hose to faucet.

Turn on water faucet.

2. Plug in dryer or reconnect power as described in the

“Installation Instructions”.

NON-USE, STORAGE, AND MOVING CARE

Install and store your dryer where it will not freeze. Because

some water may stay in the hose, freezing can damage

your dryer. If storing or moving your dryer during freezing

weather, winterize it.

Non-Use or Storage Care

Operate your dryer only when you are at home. If you will

be on vacation or not using your dryer for an extended

period of time, you should:

1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.

2. Clean lint screen. See “Cleaning the Lint Screen”.

3. Turn off the water supply to the dryer. This helps to

avoid unintended ooding (due to a water pressure

surge) while you are away.

Moving Care

For power supply cord-connected dryers:

1. Unplug the power supply cord.

2. Gas models only: Close shutoff valve in gas supply line.

3. Gas models only: Disconnect gas supply line pipe and

remove ttings attached to dryer pipe.

4. Gas models only: Cap the open gas supply line.

5. Steam models only: Shut off water faucet.

6. Steam models only: Disconnect the water inlet hose

from faucet, then drain the hose. Transport hose

separately.

7. Make sure leveling legs are secure in dryer base.

8. Use tape to secure dryer door.

For direct-wired dryers:

1. Disconnect power.

2. Disconnect wiring.

3. Steam models only: Shut off water faucet.

4. Steam models only: Disconnect the water inlet hose from

faucet, then drain the hose. Transport hose separately.

5. Make sure leveling legs are secure in dryer base.

6. Use tape to secure dryer door.

Reinstalling the Dryer

Follow the “Installation Instructions” to locate, level, and

connect the dryer.

Clothes are not drying

Fabric softener sheets are blocking

the grille.

The air outlet grille is just inside the door, behind the lint

screen. Check that it is not blocked by a fabric softener sheet.

Use only one fabric softener sheet, and use it only once.

The dryer is located in a room with

temperature below 45ºF (7ºC).

Proper operation of dryer cycles requires temperatures above

45ºF (7ºC).

The dryer is located in a closet. Closet doors must have ventilation openings at the top and

bottom of the door. The front of the dryer requires a minimum of

1" (25 mm) of airspace, and, for most installations, the rear of the

dryer requires 5" (127 mm). See “Installation Instructions”.

Cycle time is too short The load may not be contacting the

sensor strips on Sensor Cycles.

Level the dryer. See “Installation Instructions”. All four dryer

feet should be in rm contact with the oor.

Clothes are coming out of the Steam

cycles with damp or wet spots.

Under certain environmental or installation conditions you may

experience underdrying. Select the Custom Refresh cycle. Then

select the appropriate number of garments for the load from the

Number of Garments option.

The Sensor Cycles are ending early. Change the dryness level setting on Sensor Cycles. Increasing

or decreasing the dryness level will change the amount of drying

time in a cycle. If loads are consistently ending too early, see

also “Changing the Sensor Cycle settings to increase drying

time”.

Lint on load Lint screen is clogged with lint. Clean lint screen before each load.

Stains on load Improper use of fabric softener. Add dryer fabric softener sheets at the beginning of the cycle.

Fabric softener sheets added to a partially dried load can stain

your garments. Do not use fabric softener sheets with Steam

Cycles.

Stains on drum Loose dyes in clothes. Drum stains are caused by dyes in clothing (usually blue jeans).

These will not transfer to other clothing.

Loads are wrinkled The load was not removed from dryer

at the end of the cycle.

Select Auto or Custom Refresh cycles (on some models) to

tumble the load with water and heat. These cycles are best

for smoothing out wrinkles and reducing odors from loads

consisting of wrinkle-free cotton, cotton polyester blends,

common knits, and synthetic garments.

NOTE: Refer to garment care label instructions. Dry clean

only garments are not recommended.

The dryer was overloaded. Dry smaller loads that can tumble freely. When using the Custom

Refresh cycle, be sure to select the correct number of garments

to be refreshed. Results may also vary depending on fabric

type. This cycle is best for reducing wrinkles and odors from

loads consisting of wrinkle-free cotton, cotton polyester blends,

common knits, and synthetics.

For steam cycles, the water is not

properly connected with the dryer.

Make sure water is connected to the dryer. Check that water

inlet hose is connected to both the faucet and dryer’s water inlet

valve. Check that the water supply is turned on.

Odors Recent painting, staining, or

varnishing in the area where your

dryer is located.

Ventilate the area. When the odors or fumes are gone from the

area, rewash and dry the clothing.

For Steam Cycles, the water is not

properly connected with the dryer.

Make sure water is connected to the dryer. Check that water

inlet hose is connected to both the faucet and dryer’s water inlet

valve. Check that the water supply is turned on.

Odors are left in garments after

wearing.

To remove odors left in garments after wearing, select Auto

Refresh (on some models). These cycles are best for reducing

wrinkles and odors from loads consisting of wrinkle-free cotton,

cotton polyester blends, common knits, and synthetics.

The dryer will continue to run when this diagnostic code

is present. Press any key to clear the code from the display

and return to the estimated time remaining.

Try the following:

Check to see if a household fuse has blown or circuit

breaker has tripped. Electric dryers use two household fuses

or breakers. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.

Conrm the power cord is properly installed. Refer to

“Installation Instructions” for details.

Select a Timed Dry heated cycle, and restart the dryer.

If the message persists, consult a qualied electrician.

“F# E#” (F1 E1, F3 E1,

etc.) variable service

codes.

The dryer is in need of service. If a code beginning with an “F” appears in the display.

Alternating between F# and E#, the dryer control has

detected a problem that requires service. Call for service.

Une sécheuse a besoin de chaleur et d’une circulation d’air

adéquate pour sécher efcacement le linge. Une ventilation

adéquate réduit les durées de séchage et accroît les

économies d’énergie. Voir “Instructions d’installation”.

Le système d’évacuation xé à la sécheuse joue un rôle

important dans la circulation de l’air.

Les interventions de dépannage causées par

une ventilation incorrecte ne sont pas couvertes par

la garantie et seront à la charge du client, quel que

soit l’installateur de la sécheuse.

Maintenir une bonne circulation d’air

en effectuant les opérations suivantes :

n Nettoyer le ltre à charpie avant chaque

charge.

n Remplacer le matériau de conduits

d’évacuation en plastique ou en aluminium

par des conduits d’évacuation lourds et

rigides de 4" (102 mm) de diamètre.

n Toujours employer les conduits d’évacuation les plus

courts possible.

n Ne pas utiliser plus de quatre coudes à 90° dans

un circuit d’évacuation car chaque inclinaison et courbe

réduit le ux d’air.

n Retirer la charpie et les résidus du clapet d’évacuation.

n Retirer la charpie sur toute la longueur du circuit

d’évacuation au moins tous les 2 ans. Après le

nettoyage, veuillez suivre les “Instructions d’installation”

fournies avec la sécheuse pour une vérication nale de

l’appareil.

n Dégager tout article qui se trouverait devant la sécheuse.

Utiliser les programmes de détection pour un meilleur soin du tissu

et davantage d’économies d’énergie

Utiliser les programmes de détection pour réaliser davantage d’économies d’énergie et prendre davantage soin des tissus.

Durant les programmes de détection, la température de séchage à l’air et le niveau d’humidité sont détectés dans la charge.

Cette détection se produit tout au long du programme de séchage et la sécheuse s’éteint lorsque la charge atteint le degré

de séchage sélectionné. Utiliser le niveau de séchage NORMAL pour pouvoir réaliser un maximum d’économies d’énergie.

Avec les programmes minutés, la sécheuse fonctionne pendant la durée réglée, ce qui peut parfois entraîner le rétrécissement ou

le froissement du linge, et l’accumulation d’électricité statique due à un séchage excessif. Utiliser les programmes minutés pour

une charge encore humide nécessitant un peu de temps de séchage supplémentaire ou lorsqu’on utilise la grille de séchage.

Conseils pour obtenir la meilleure performance de votre sécheuse avec vapeur

n Les résultats peuvent varier selon le tissu. Il est possible

que les vêtements à 100 % de coton avec ni infroissable

donnent de meilleurs résultats que les autres. Il est

possible que les articles à 100 % de coton nécessitent

un rafraîchissement supplémentaire après le programme

à vapeur.

n L’emploi d’une feuille d’assouplissant de tissu n’est pas

recommandé avec les programmes à vapeur. Ceci pourrait

causer des tâches temporaires sur les vêtements.

n L’utilisation de programmes à vapeur n’est pas

recommandée pour des articles amidonnés. Laver

les articles amidonnés ou neufs avant d’utiliser

un programme avec vapeur.

n Le programme Auto Refresh (rafraîchissement automatique)

est idéal pour la réduction des plis légers dans des charges

de vêtements secs petites à moyennes. Pour le programme

Auto Refresh (rafraîchissement automatique), la durée de

séchage est automatiquement ajustée à mesure que la

charge est détectée. La durée de fonctionnement d’un

programme ne peut pas être ajustée manuellement.

n Le programme Custom Refresh (rafraîchissement

personnalisé) (sur certains modèles) est idéal pour

aider à défroisser et désodoriser les vêtements secs.

Pour le programme Custom Refresh (rafraîchissement

personnalisé), la durée des programmes change en fonction

du nombre de vêtements que l’on souhaite rafraîchir.

sélectionner une température de séchage en fonction

du type de charge à sécher. Utiliser le réglage le

plus chaud possible qui reste sans danger pour

les vêtements contenus dans la charge. Suivre les

instructions gurant sur l’étiquette des vêtements.

REMARQUE : Les programmes de détection utilisent

une température préréglée qui n’est pas modiable.

Niveau de séchage

Si désiré, le niveau de séchage peut être ajusté sur

les programmes de détection.

REMARQUE : Le modicateur du niveau de séchage

doit être utilisé uniquement avec les programmes de

détection.

Nombre de vêtements (sur certains modèles)

Lorsqu’on utilise le programme Custom Refresh

(rafraîchissement personnalisé), sélectionner le nombre

de vêtements que l’on souhaite rafraîchir à l’aide du

bouton de nombre de vêtements.

REMARQUE : Le modicateur du nombre

de vêtements doit être utilisé uniquement avec

le programme Custom Refresh (rafraîchissement

personnalisé).

Ajustement de la durée de séchage

sur les programmes minutés

Lorsqu’on sélectionne un programme

minuté, la durée par défaut apparaît sur

l’afchage. Appuyer sur les boutons ou +

– pour augmenter ou diminuer la durée par

tranches d’une (1) minute. Appuyer sans

relâcher pour modier la durée par tranches

de 5 minutes.

La durée maximum de séchage est de 100

minutes.

Sélection de la température de séchage

On peut utiliser un réglage de chaleur élevée pour sécher les

articles lourds tels que les serviettes et les vêtements de travail.

Un réglage de chaleur faible à moyenne peut être utilisé

pour sécher les articles moyennement lourds tels que draps,

chemisiers, robes, sous-vêtements, tissus à pressage permanent

et certains tricots.

Utiliser un réglage sans chaleur (air seulement) pour la mousse,

le caoutchouc, le plastique ou les tissus sensibles à la chaleur.

Sécher sur une corde à linge les tissus doublés ou multi-couches.

REMARQUE : Pour toute question concernant les températures

de séchage pour diverses charges, consulter les instructions sur

l’étiquette de soin.

† On peut aussi utiliser Wrinkle Prevent avec vapeur (sur certains modèles). Wrinkle Prevent est uniquement disponible avec les réglages de

température de séchage High (élevée) et Medium (moyenne).

Recommandations concernant le volume de la charge

Pour de meilleurs résultats, suivre les recommandations

concernant la taille de la charge mouillée indiquées pour chaque

programme.

Petites charges : Remplir le tambour de

sécheuse avec 3 ou 4 articles, à pas plus d’un

quart de sa capacité.

Charges de taille moyenne : Remplir le tambour de la

sécheuse à environ la moitié de sa capacité.

Grande charge : Remplir le tambour de la sécheuse

environ aux trois-quarts de sa capacité. Ne pas charger

excessivement. Les articles doivent pouvoir se déplacer

librement.

CARACTÉRISTIQUES SUPPLÉMENTAIRES

2. Aligner les deux crochets situés à l’avant de la grille

de séchage avec les trous situés dans l’ouverture

de la porte de la sécheuse et les insérer complètement

dans les trous en appuyant. Placer le support arrière

sur le rebord arrière de la sécheuse.

UTILISATION DE LA GRILLE DE SÉCHAGE

Pour obtenir une grille de séchage pour votre sécheuse,

suivre les instructions fournies dans le tambour de la

sécheuse. Enlever et jeter les matériaux d’emballage avant

utilisation.

Utiliser la grille de séchage pour les articles que l’on

ne souhaite pas faire sécher par culbutage tels que les

chandails et les chaussures de tennis. Lorsqu’on utilise la

grille de séchage, le tambour continue de tourner mais la

grille reste stationnaire.

L’utilisation de la grille de séchage est recommandée

uniquement avec les programmes de séchage minuté.

La grille de séchage ne peut pas être utilisée avec les

programmes de détection.

Utilisation de la grille de séchage :

IMPORTANT : Ne pas retirer le ltre à charpie.

1. Ouvrir la porte de la laveuse.

3. Placer les articles mouillés sur la grille de séchage.

Laisser sufsamment d’espace entre les articles pour

permettre à l’air de circuler. La grille de séchage ne

bouge pas mais le tambour pivote; veiller à laisser

sufsamment d’espace entre les articles et à l’intérieur

du tambour de la sécheuse. Veiller à ce que les articles

ne pendent pas par-dessus les bords de la grille de

séchage ou entre les barreaux de la grille.

4. Fermer la porte.

5. Sélectionner un programme Timed Dry/Air Only

(séchage minuté/air seulement), ou Low Temperature

(faible température). Les articles contenant de la mousse,

du caoutchouc ou du plastique doivent être séchés

sur une corde à linge ou au moyen du réglage Air Only

(air seulement).

6. Une fois le programme sélectionné, l’afcheur de la

durée résiduelle estimée indique la durée par défaut. Il

est possible de modier la durée réelle du programme en

augmentant ou en diminuant la durée du programme.

7. Mettre la sécheuse en marche.

REMARQUE : Une fois le programme terminé, examiner

le ltre à charpie et retirer toute charpie accumulée sur les

articles séchés sur la grille de séchage.

3. Tourner l’ampoule dans le sens antihoraire. Remplacer

l’ampoule uniquement par une ampoule de 10 watts

pour appareil électroménager. Réinstaller le couvercle

et le xer avec la vis.

4. Brancher la sécheuse ou reconnecter la source de

courant électrique.

CHANGEMENT DE L’AMPOULE

DU TAMBOUR

La lumière de la sécheuse s’allume automatiquement

à l’intérieur de la sécheuse lorsqu’on ouvre la porte.

Changement de l’ampoule du tambour :

1. Débrancher la sécheuse ou déconnecter la source de

courant électrique.

2. Ouvrir la porte de la sécheuse. Trouver le couvercle de

l’ampoule d’éclairage sur la paroi arrière de la sécheuse.

Enlever la vis située au coin inférieur droit du couvercle.

Enlever le couvercle.

AVERTISSEMENT

Risque de choc électrique

Déconnecter la source de courant électrique avant

l'entretien.

Replacer pièces et panneaux avant de faire la remise

en marche.

Le non-respect de ces instructions peut causer

un décès ou un choc électrique.

ENTRETIEN DE LA SÉCHEUSE

NETTOYAGE DE L’EMPLACEMENT

DE LA SÉCHEUSE

Éviter de laisser autour de la sécheuse des éléments qui

pourraient obstruer la circulation de l’air et empêcher le

bon fonctionnement de la sécheuse. Ceci implique de

dégager également les éventuelles piles de linge placées

devant la sécheuse.

NETTOYAGE DE L’INTÉRIEUR DE LA SÉCHEUSE

Nettoyage du tambour de la sécheuse

1. Utiliser un détergent à vaisselle doux mélangé à une

faible concentration d’eau très chaude et frotter avec

un chiffon doux.

2. Rincer soigneusement avec une éponge ou une

serviette mouillée.

3. Faire culbuter une charge de linge ou de serviettes

propres pour sécher le tambour

Utiliser un chiffon en microbre et de l’eau chaude dans

un acon de vaporisation pour nettoyer le tambour et

une deuxième serviette en microbre pour le séchage.

REMARQUE : Les vêtements contenant des teintures

instables, tels les jeans en denim bleus ou articles en

coton de couleur vive, peuvent décolorer l’intérieur de

la sécheuse. Ces taches ne sont pas nocives pour votre

sécheuse et ne tacheront pas les vêtements des charges

futures. Faire sécher les articles à teinture instable sur

l’envers pour éviter le transfert de la teinture.

RETIRER LA CHARPIE ACCUMULÉE

De l’intérieur de la caisse de la sécheuse

Retirer la charpie tous les 2 ans, ou plus souvent, selon

l’utilisation de la sécheuse. Le nettoyage doit être effectué

par un réparateur qualié.

À partir du conduit d’évacuation

Retirer la charpie tous les 2 ans, ou plus souvent, selon

l’utilisation de la sécheuse.

NETTOYAGE DU FILTRE À CHARPIE

Nettoyage avant chaque charge

Le ltre à charpie se trouve dans l’ouverture de la porte de

la sécheuse. Le tableau de commande comporte un témoin

lumineux pour vous rappeler de nettoyer le ltre à charpie

après chaque charge. Un ltre obstrué de charpie peut

augmenter la durée de séchage.

Nettoyage :

1. Enlever le ltre à charpie en le tirant tout droit vers

le haut. Retirer la charpie du ltre en la roulant avec

les doigts. Ne pas rincer ni laver le ltre pour enlever

la charpie. La charpie mouillée s’enlève difcilement.

2. Remettre le ltre à charpie fermement en place en

l’enfonçant.

IMPORTANT :

n Ne pas faire fonctionner la sécheuse avec un ltre à

charpie déplacé, endommagé, bloqué ou manquant.

Une telle action peut causer une surchauffe ou des

dommages à la sécheuse et aux tissus.

n Si de la charpie tombe dans la sécheuse au moment du

retrait du ltre, vérier le conduit d’évacuation et retirer

la charpie. Voir “Exigences concernant l’évacuation”

dans les “Instructions d’installation”.

Nettoyage au besoin

Des résidus de détergent ou d’assouplisseur de tissu

peuvent s’accumuler sur le ltre à charpie. Cette

accumulation peut entraîner des temps de séchage plus

longs, ou entraîner l’arrêt de la sécheuse avant que la

charge ne soit complètement sèche. Si de la charpie

tombe du ltre alors qu’il est dans la sécheuse, il est

probablement obstrué.

Nettoyer le ltre à charpie avec une brosse de nylon tous

les six mois ou plus fréquemment s’il se bouche en raison

d’une accumulation de résidus.

Nettoyage :

1. Retirer la charpie du ltre en la roulant avec les doigts.

2. Mouiller les deux côtés du ltre

à charpie avec de l’eau chaude.

3. Mouiller une brosse en nylon

avec de l’eau chaude et du

détergent liquide. Frotter

le ltre à charpie avec la brosse

pour enlever l’accumulation

de résidus.

4. Rincer le ltre à l’eau chaude

5. Bien sécher le ltre à charpie avec une serviette propre.

Réinstaller le ltre dans la sécheuse.
