¿Cómo usar?
FELICITACIONES por la compra de su nuevo Kit
de Cuidado Personal para Viajes. Incluye todos
los accesorios necesarios para mantener un
look bien cuidado en barba, bigote, patillas,
cuello, nariz, orejas y cejas. Como con todos
los productos Remington, su recortadora p1-ha
sido fabricada con el mayor cuidado y atención
a los detalles, para garantizar años de uso
confiable. Utilizar su recortadora es fácil, pero
tómese unos minutos para familiarizarse con

vello desea cortar.
Recuerde, en un

la configuración de largo máximo para no

Coloque el interruptor en ON y comience
a recortar.

movimiento ascendente. Permita que el
accesorio para largo del vello siga los

seco y libre de toda

Peine las patillas en la dirección de
crecimiento del vello.

con el frente hacia su cara.
Recorte las patillas con un movimiendo
hacia abajo.
Recortando la nuca de su cuello
Qué usar: recortadora
Use un espejo de mano
si va a recortar los vellos

espejo será innecesario

Deseche las baterías usadas de manera
correcta. No incinere. Las baterías pueden
explotar si las exponen a temperaturas
elevadas. No las envuelva en metal o papel
aluminio. Envuélvalas en papel de diario
antes de desecharlas.
No intente recargar baterías del tipo
alcalinas, alto rendimiento o regulares en
cargadores de batería tipo níquel-cadmio.
Utilice sus dedos para levantar los vellos
en la base de su cabeza, donde comienza
el cuello. Su dedo índice deberá cubrir las
raíces de los vellos que está levantando
para evitar la remoción accidental con la
recortadora.
Utilizando su otra mano, sostenga la
recortadora en forma horizontal a la
base de su cuello, con la unidad de corte
hacia arriba y moviendo la recortadora a
lo largo del cuello, hasta que la unidad
toque el dedo que cubre las raíces del
vello en la base de su cabeza. Repita este
procedimiento para toda el área del cuello.
Procure mover la unidad lentamente al
realizar esta operación y mantener las
raíces del vello en la base de su cabeza
fuera de la trayectoria de la recortadora.
Utilice el espejo manual para inspeccionar
los resultados de la operación y asegúrese
que todos los vellos de la nuca hayan sido
cortados.
Para definir la línea de la barba
Qué usar: recortadora
Sostenga la recortadora con la cuchilla
dirigida hacia usted.
Comience con el borde de la línea de la

Encienda la recortadora.
Suavemente guíe la
unidad recortadora para
quitar los vellos aislados,
no deseados de la línea
de la ceja o los vellos que
sobresalgan de ésta.
Limpie y lubrique regularmente su recortadora
para garantizar que la vida útil de su unidad no
se acabe prematuramente.
La cortadora siempre debe estar apagada
para limpiarla.
No aplique presión u objetos duros en las
cuchillas.
No utilice limpiadores corrosivos en la
unidad o cuchillas.
Si la recortadora no se utiliza de manera
regular, saque las pilas para evitar posibles
filtraciones químicas.
Semanalmente
Su recortadora posee cuchillas de acero inox-
idable resistentes a la corrosión, que permiten
que la unidad recortadora pueda limpiarse bajo
el chorro de agua si se desea. O puede seguir
limpiándola con el cepillo que se incluye.
Limpieza con agua
1. Retire el accesorio
recortador o accesorio
para nariz/ oreja girando
aproximadamente 1/8 de
vuelta hacia la izquierda
(en el sentido contrario a
las manecillas del reloj) y
tirando.
2. Enjuague los accesorios
bajo el chorro de agua.
NO coloque toda la unidad
bajo el agua, SÓLO los
accesorios. Utilice agua
tibia. NO utilice agua
caliente. El agua caliente
puede dañar los componentes.
Para secar los accesorios, puede utilizar un
secador de cabello a temperatura media
o fría, antes de volver a colocarlos en la
recortadora.
Precaución: La temperatura muy alta dañará
los accesorios.
Limpieza con cepillo
Limpie a fondo y sople los restos de vellos
de las cuchillas, fondo de los accesorios y
área superior del mango.
Mensualmente
Lubrique las cuchillas de los accesorios una
vez al mes con el aceite que se incluye.
Utilice 1-2 gotas de aceite y extiéndalas
sobre las cuchillas con la punta de los
dedos. No utilice demasiado aceite. Retire el
exceso de las cuchillas o acicalador.
Detección de problemas
La recortadora no funciona cuando se
coloca el interruptor en ON:
Verifique que las baterías se han instalado
correctamente. La recortadora no operará
a menos que las baterías hayan sido
instaladas como corresponde.
Si la energía de las baterías se p1-ha agotado,
reemplácelas con 1 pila alcalina “AA” (ver
sección Pilas).
Las cuchillas de la recortadora no se
mueven:
La unidad recortadora puede estar sucia y
tapada. Limpie y lubrique la unidad como se
indica en la sección Limpieza.

Antes de utilizar su recortadora de vellos
La barba, bigote o patillas deberán estar
secos. Evite aplicar lociones antes de
utilizar su recortadora.
Procure que el accesorio para el largo
del vello se encuentre en la configuración
deseada. Cuando lo utilice por primera vez,
se sugiere comenzar con la configuración
más alta (vello más largo) para evitar
recortar demasiado vello inicialmente.
Peine los vellos hacia afuera para que
alcancen el largo máximo y estén en la
misma dirección.
Limpie y lubrique regularmente las
cuchillas (ver sección de Mantenimiento).
Nunca utilice la recortadora cuando las
cuchillas estén dañadas o rotas.

Como con cualquier producto nuevo, toma un
tiempo familiarizarse, especialmente si está
utilizando una recortadora por primera vez o
está utilizando una marca diferente. Estamos
confiados en que disfrutará años de uso y com-
pleta satisfacción.
Colocar las baterías
La TLG-100 requiere 1 batería tipo "AA".
Asegúrese de que el aparato esté apagado.
Sostenga la recortadora horizontalmente
en una mano y suavemente gire la tapa del
compartimiento de las pilas 1/16 de vuelta
en el sentido contrario a las manecillas del
reloj y tire.
Inserte las pilas tal como se indica,
procurando que los signos (+) y (-)
coincidan con los signos al interior del
compartimiento.
Vuelva a colocar la tapa del compartimiento
de las pilas.
NOTA: la recortadora no funcionará si las
baterías no se colocan en forma correcta.
Mueva la unidad lenta y cuidadosamente
para no cortar accidentalmente vellos
que no desee remover. No se recomienda
utilizar la re para definir o recortar cortadora
toda la ceja.

Your New Groomer
CONGRATULATIONS on the purchase of your new Travel Grooming Kit. It contains all the
attachments and accessories needed to maintain a well-groomed look on your beard, mustache,
sideburns, neckline, nose, ears, and eyebrows. As with all Remington products, your groomer has
been manufactured with the utmost care and attention to detail to ensure years of reliable use.
Using your groomer is easy, but take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with these instructions.
Before Using Your Trimmer
Beard, mustache, or sideburn hairs should
be dry. Avoid using lotions before using
your groomer.
Be certain hair length attachment is at
the desired setting. When first using, you
may want to begin on the highest setting
(longest hair) to prevent trimming off too
much hair initially.
Comb hairs outward so they are at their
maximum height and facing in the same
direction.
Clean and lubricate cutter blades regularly
(see Maintenance section).
Never use groomer with damaged or
broken cutter units.
Take a Moment
Be patient when first using your Remington
®
Travel Grooming Kit. As with any new product,
it may take a little while to familiarize yourself
with it, especially if you are using a groomer
for the first time or are using a different brand.
Take the time to acquaint yourself with your
new groomer, as we are confident you will
receive years of enjoyable use and complete
satisfaction.
Changing Your Battery
Your groomer requires 1 “AA” alkaline battery.
Be sure groomer is shut off.
Hold groomer horizontally in one hand and
gently twist battery cap 1/16 turn counter-
clockwise and pull off.
Insert battery as shown, making sure the
(+) and (-) markings on end of battery
match those on inside of compartment.
Replace battery compartment cap.
NOTE: groomer will not operate if battery is
inserted incorrectly.

precautions should always be observed,

physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure
they do not play with the appliance.
Use the groomer only its intended use
as described in this manual. Do not use
attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer.
Never drop or insert any object into any
opening.
Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
Always store this appliance and cord in
a moisture-free area. Do not store it in
temperatures exceeding 60°C (140°F).
Do not use this groomer with a damaged
or broken cutting unit, as facial injury may
occur.
Always remember to turn the trimmer on
before inserting your nose or ear, avoiding
the painful pulling of hair.
Never insert trimmer more than ¼ "(6mm)
inside your nose or ear. Foreign objects
should not have contact with the eardrum.
Dispose of used batteries properly. Do
not incinerate. Batteries may explode
if overheated. Do not wrap in metal or
aluminum foil. Wrap in newspaper before
discarding. It is suggested that you contact
local town/city officials to determine proper
battery redemption site(s) in your area.
Do not attempt to recharge alkaline, heavy-
duty or regular batteries in battery charger.

Operating Your Groomer

Hair Length Attachment
The hair length attachment
(with 5 settings) controls
the length of the cut.
To fasten the hair length
attachment, place the front
teeth on the hair length
attachment over the front of the groomer’s
trimmer head and push it to click into place.
To remove, lift the tab on back of hair length
attachment.
Trimming Beards or
Mustaches
What to use: wide trimmer
+ hair length attachment
Before you begin. Comb
your hair in the direction
that it grows so that
the hairs are at their
maximum height and facing in the same
direction.
Place the hair length attachment on the
groomer’s trimmer head and determine
how much hair you want to cut.
Remember, until you are familiar with
using the groomer, it’s always better to
select a longer hair setting initially in order
not to trim too much hair.
Turn the groomer’s power switch to ON,
and begin trimming.
Start trimming under your chin, and
following your jawbone line, work toward
your ear and upper beard line using an
upward motion. Allow the hair length
attachment to follow to contours of your
face.
When finished trimming, turn the unit’s
power switch to OFF.
To Trim Edge of Mustache
What to use: wide trimmer
Remove hair length
attachment.
Mustache hairs should be
dry and avoid any waxes
or lotions before using
trimmer.
Use the unit’s styling
comb or a small comb to comb hairs
straight for trimming.
Hold groomer with trimmer cutting blade
facing you.
Trim hairs using a downward motion
following the direction of your hair growth
or trim against your hair growth, whichever
is preferred.
NOTE: Since all hairs do not grow in the
same direction, you may want to try
different trimming positions (i.e., upwards,
downwards, or across). Practice is best for
optimum results.
After achieving desired length, use a
downward motion to blend mustache
hairs.
NOTE: Use slow and light pressure. Too much
pressure may trim off more hair than
desired.
Turn groomer off.
To Trim Sideburns
What to use: wide trimmer + hair length
attachment
Comb sideburns following the direction of
your hair growth.
Be certain hair length attachment is ON.
Hold groomer vertically with front of
groomer facing you.
Trim sideburns using a downward motion.
Turn groomer OFF.

Trimming the Nape of Your
Neck
What to use: wide trimmer
You will need a hand
mirror for this operation if
performing it alone. The
mirror is not necessary if
trimming is performed by a second person.
Use your fingers to lift the hair at the base
of your head up off the neck. Your index
finger should be covering the roots of the
hairs you are lifting to prevent accidental
removal by groomer.
Using your other hand, hold groomer
horizontally to the base of your neck with
the cutting unit facing up, and move the
groomer along the length of the neck until
the unit touches your finger covering the
hair roots at the base of your head. Repeat
this procedure for the entire area of the
neck. Be sure to move the unit slowly when
performing this operation and to keep the
hair roots at the base of your head out of
the way of the groomer.
Use the hand mirror to inspect the results
of the operation and ensure all hairs along
the nape of the neck have been trimmed.
To Define the Beard Line
What to use: wide trimmer
Hold groomer with trimmer blade facing
you.
Start with edge of beard line, and with
the cutting blades resting lightly against
your skin, use motions towards edge of
beard line to trim the beard line to desired
locations in facial area and away from
beard in neck area.
To Thin and Taper the Beard
What to use: wide trimmer
Use unit’s styling comb
or a small comb to
comb and hold the
beard hairs in place
while trimming.
Hold the groomer with
the cutting unit facing
away from you, move
the groomer along the length of the comb.
The Best Technique for Nose & Ear
Here are a few tips for trimming the various
parts of your face.
To remove hair from nose:
What to use: nose, ear & eyebrow attachment
Nose, ear, eyebrow
attachment should be on.
Turn groomer on.
Insert groomer’s cutting
unit gently into the nostril.
Rotate groomer in a
circular motion around
the opening of the nostril.
For best cutting efficiency, gently move the
groomer in and out of the nostril as you
rotate the groomer.
Remember to avoid inserting the groomer
more than ¼" into your nostril to insure
safe trimming.
To remove hair from ear:
What to use: Nose, Ear & Eyebrow attachment
Nose, ear, eyebrow
attachment should be on.
Turn groomer on.
Insert groomer’s cutting
unit gently into the outer
ear canal opening.
Gently rotate groomer in
a circular motion.
To trim hairs protruding from the surface
of your ear surrounding the outer ear
canal, guide the groomer around the edge
of the ear.
Remember to avoid inserting the groomer
more than ¼" into your ear canal to insure
safe trimming.

To remove hair from eye-
brows:
What to use: Nose, Ear &
Eyebrow attachment
Nose, ear, eyebrow
attachment should be on.
Turn groomer on.
Gently guide cutting unit to stray, unwanted
hairs along the eyebrow line or protruding
from the eyebrow itself.
Move the unit slowly and carefully so as
not to accidentally cut any hairs you do not
intend to trim. It is not recommended that
you use the groomer to define or trim the
entire eyebrow.
Clean and lubricate your groomer regularly to
insure your unit's operating life is not prema-
turely shortened.
Groomer should always be shut off.
Do not apply pressure or hard objects to
cutters.
Do not use harsh or corrosive cleaners on
unit or cutters.
If groomer is not used regularly, remove
batteries to prevent possible chemical
leakage.
Weekly
Your groomer has rust-resistant stainless steel
cutting blades that permit the cutting assembly
to be rinsed under running water, if desired. Or,
you can still conveniently clean your unit with
the included brush.
Cleaning with water
1. Remove the trimmer
attachment or nose/ear
attachment by rotating
approximately 1/8" turn
to the left (coutner-
clockwise) and pull off.
2. Rinse attachments under
running water. DO NOT
run entire unit under
water, ONLY attachments.
Use warm water. DO NOT
use hot water. Hot water
may causedamage to
components.
To dry off the attachments, you can use a
hair dryer on a cool or medium heat setting
to help dry them before reassembly onto
the groomer.
Caution: Too high a heat will damage
attachments.
Cleaning with brush
Thoroughly brush and blow out hair
clippings from cutter, bottom of
attachments and top of power handle.
Monthly
Lubricate both attachment cutter blades once
a month with oil provided.
Use 1-2 drops of oil and spread lightly over
cutters with fingertip. Do not over oil. Wipe
away any excess from cutter or groomer.
Troubleshooting
The groomer does not work when turned on:
Be certain batteries have been properly
installed. Groomer will not operate unless
batteries are correctly positioned.
If battery power has been depleted, replace
with 1 "AA" alkaline battery
(see Battery section).
Groomer cutters do not move:
The cutting unit may be dirty and clogged.
Clean and lubricate the unit as directed in
Cleaning section.
