IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
2 – ENGLISH
PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USING AND KEEP IT FOR
FUTURE REFERENCE.
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present,
basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING - KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
DANGER Any appliance is electrically live even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
1. Always unplug appliance immediately after using.
2. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
3. Do not place or drop in water or other liquid.
4. If appliance falls in water, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into water.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of re, electrical shock, or injury:
1. To reduce the risk of contact with hot water emitting from steam vents, check appli-
ance before each use by holding and facing it away from body and operating steam
button.
2. Unwind and straighten power cord and remove cardboard soleplate cover before use.
3. This appliance is intended for household and residential use only. This product is not
approved for commercial applications. Use appliance only for its intended use.
4. To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or
other liquids.
5. The appliance should always be turned off before plugging or unplugging from outlet.
Never yank the cord to disconnect from outlet, instead grasp plug and pull to discon-
nect.
6. Always disconnect appliance from electrical outlet when lling with water, emptying,
or when not in use.
7. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool completely before putting away.
8. Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord or if the appliance has been dropped
or damaged.
9. If the appliance or power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by manufacturer, its
service agent, or similarly qualied technician in order to avoid a hazard.
10. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the appliance. Take, or ship it
to a qualied serviceperson for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly or repair
can cause a risk of re, electric shock, or injury to persons when appliance is used.
11. Not intended for use by children. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance be-
ing used near children. Unsupervised use can result in re or personal injury. Do not
leave appliance unattended while plugged in, on an ironing board, or while still hot.
12. Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam. Use caution when
you turn steam iron upside down – there may be hot water in the tank.
13. Never open the water tank door while the appliance is in use. The steam pressure
could result in burns. Only open the door when iron is cool and unplugged.
14. The use of accessory attachments is not recommended and may result in re, electric
shock or personal injury.
15. To reduce the likelihood of circuit over load, do not operate another high wattage ap-
pliance on the same circuit.

16. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 15 ampere cord should be used. Cords
rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so it
cannot be pulled or tripped over unintentionally.
17. When placing the iron on its heel, ensure that the surface on which the iron is placed
is stable.
18. Never drop or insert an object into any opening (electrical or other), and do not use if
one of the openings is blocked.
19. Do not use outdoors.
20. Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
being administered.
21. Clean the appliance only with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
22. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
23. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with appliance.
24. Do not direct steam at people, animals or electrical equipment, or iron clothes while
they are being worn.
25. When lling the water tank, please follow only the instructions provided in this manual.
Do not use water with additives, vinegar, perfumes or chemical substances.
26. Use only approved and supplied parts and accessories. Use of any other kind of ac-
cessory is not recommended.
27. Read and follow all important notices in this guide.
28. Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years of age when it is
energized or cooling down.
29. This symbol states that the surface would be hot during use.
Do not touch the surfaces marked with symbol during or just after ironing. It is HOT
and can cause severe burns!
