1 Year Limited Warranty
Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions or if in Canada, Sunbeam

warrants that for a period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be free from
defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any
component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be
made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available,
replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive
warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this
product. Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase
and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain
warranty performance. JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do not
have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the
following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use
contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than
JCS or an authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God,
such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.
What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?
JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any
express, implied or statutory warranty or condition.
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the
above warranty.
JCS disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied, statutory
or otherwise.
JCS shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of,

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: When using electrical appliances, basic
safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire,

1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.

3. The heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, DO NOT let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use
handle when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows,
bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 ft (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and
keep them away from the sides and rear.
4. DO NOT run cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or the
like. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
5. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations.

NOTE:
• There may be an odor coming from the heater the first time you use it or after long periods of
storing. This is normal during the break-in period. Make sure the heater is in a well ventilated
area and continue running it until the smell goes away.
• You may hear a popping or crackling sound as the heater heats up. This is normal and safe
operation. Once the heater heats up, the crackling sound will go away.

How Convection Heat Works
As the heater warms the air, hot air rises into the
room. This forces the cooler air down towards the
heater, where it is warmed. This cycle continues
until the desired temperature has been reached.
There is no fan so operation is virtually silent.
ECOSMART™ TECHNOLOGY (SLP3310 ONLY)
Is a technology that allows this portable heater to heat an area more efficiently through a continuous
cycling of wattages. Although no physical change is noticeable, when the heater runs in ECOSMART
™
mode it consumes less energy over a long period of time. To activate the EcoSmart™cycle depress
the EcoSmart™button. The EcoSmart™cycle can be deactivated by depressing the EcoSmart™
button. Once deactivated, the heater will run continuously at 1500 watts.
AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF
This heater is equipped with a patented, technologically advanced, safety system that automatically
shuts off the current to the heater when a potential overheat temperature is reached. The heater
can only resume operation when you reset it.
T R HO ESET THE EATER
If your heater shuts down, follow these steps:
1. Turn Power to OFF.
2. Unplug the heater and wait 30 minutes.
3. Plug in the heater, turn the power ON.
4. Your heater should now operate properly.
T -O SIP VER HUT-OFF
If the heater is knocked over, it will instantly shut off. To resume operation, simply place the
heater in an upright position and turn ON the heater.
PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make sure the heater is OFF before plugging the heater into the outlet.
2. Place the heater on a firm, level surface.
3. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high wattage appliances in the same outlet.
At 1500 Watts, this unit draws 12.5 Amps.
4. Make sure unit and plug is free of moisture and debris before plugging into an electrical outlet.

1. Press the to turn unit on.On/Off button
2. Select temperature by pressing the Temperature button until the desired temperature
is chosen.
3. Set the Timer for the duration in which you would like the heater to run before turning
off automatically.
4. Then choose whether or not you would like to use the EcoSmart™Technology by pressing the
EcoSmart™button.

1. To turn heater On simply turn knob to desired heat level, Low or High.
2. Select desired temperature by turning the counterclockwise until theThermostat knob
desired comfort level is reached.
CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the heater before cleaning and allow to cool.
• Lightly run a vacuum cleaner nozzle over the heater grill to remove any dust or dirt that may
have accumulated.
• Carefully wipe the heater with a soft, damp cloth. Please be very cautious near the heating
elements.
• NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean the heater.
• After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the heater with a cloth or towel.
• Store your heater in a cool, dry dust-free location
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater fails to operate or if there is no heat:
• Auto Safety Shut-Off may have shut the unit off. Remove any obstructions and follow
“To Reset the Heater” instructions section of the manual.
• Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit.
Doing so will void the warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable parts.
All servicing should be performed by qualified personnel only.
• Make sure the power button is ON – depress button or turn knob to High.
• Check the thermostat setting; it might be set too low. Turn the thermostat knob clockwise until
the heater restarts or push thermostat button to 85º.
• If the unit is still not producing enough heat, make sure Thermostat is set to the highest setting.
• Be patient. Give the heater time to heat up.
• Make sure the electrical outlet and circuit breaker are working.
• You may hear a popping or crackling sound as the heater heats up. This is normal and safe
operation. Once the heater heats up, the crackling sound will go away.
• Make sure your heater is in a full upright position.

LIMPIEZA/MANTENIMIENTO

• Guarde el calentador en un lugar fresco, seco y libre de polvo.
SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Si el calentador no opera o no produce calor:
• La función de apagado automático podría haber apagado la unidad. Retire cualquier
obstrucción y siga la sección de instrucciones del manual “Para reinicializar el calentador”.
• NO intente reparar o ajustar alguna función eléctrica o mecánica en esta unidad, ya que
invalidará la garantía. El interior de la unidad no contiene partes que el usuario pueda
reparar. Todas las reparaciones las debe realizar personal calificado únicamente.
• Cerciórese de que el botón de encendido esté en la posición ON, oprima el botón o gire
la perilla al nivel alto (High).
• Revise el nivel del termostato, podría estar en un nivel demasiado bajo. Gire la perilla del
termostato en el sentido del reloj hasta que el calentador reinicie u oprima el botón del
termostato a 85°.
• Si la unidad no está produciendo suficiente calor, o el termostato está en el nivel más alto.
• Tenga paciencia. Dé tiempo al calentador para que se caliente.
• Verifique que el tomacorriente eléctrico y el interruptor de circuitos estén operando.
• Es posible que escuche un sonido de explosión o un crujido mientras el calentador se calienta.
Esto es parte de la operación normal y segura. Una vez el calentador se caliente, el sonido desaparece.
• Cerciórese de que el calentador esté en posición vertical.

aire más frío baje hacia el calentador, donde es
calentado. Este ciclo continúa hasta que se alcance
la temperatura deseada. No hay ventiladores por
tanto la función es silenciosa.
