KNS4 – COPTERMECH

1. Introduction & Characteristics

Thank you for buying the KNS4 ! Read this manual carefully before bringing the device into use.

• Familiarise yourself with the operation of transmissions steered through gears or pulleys.

• Easy to build, no glue or soldering required.

• Dislodge the pre-cut pieces when you need them and not before. Sand the jagged edges before use (sandpaper

included)

• The kit is powered by 2 AA-batteries (not included).

The kits of the KNS-series are supplied with prepunched boards, a gearbox, gears, shafts, a switch, a motor, a

battery holder and all necessary parts.

Note that the figures with the assembly instructions can be found in the second folder “KNS4 – Figures”!!!

Fig. 4 : Insert part n°20 in the hole on board n°2 and mount the motor holder according to fig. 4.

n°4 and through the pulley (part n°10). The metal shafts come out the other side of board n°1. Remember

to put the rubber bands (parts n°18 & 16) on the pulley before inserting the metal shaft. Another part n°15

goes through boards n°1 & 4.

n°5. Mount part n°5 & 8 according to figure 6. Attach board n°5 to boards n°1 & 4 with part n°19.

4. Troubleshooting

• Make sure the wiring is correct

• Note that all shafts (n°6, 14 & 15) in nylon pads (n°20 & 21) should be able to move. This will allow the pulleys &

wheels to run smoothly.

1. Inleiding en Kenmerken

Dank u voor uw aankoop ! Lees deze handleiding aandachtig voor u het toestel in gebruik neemt.

• Leer hoe een tandwielaandrijving of een pulley met riemaandrijving werkt.

• Makkelijk te bouwen, zonder lijm of solderen.

• Maak de voorgesneden vormen pas los wanneer u ze nodig hebt. Schuur de scherpe randjes af voor gebruik

(schuurpapier meegeleverd)

• De kit wordt aangedreven door 2 AA-batterijen (niet inbegrepen).

De kits van de KNS-reeks worden geleverd met voorgesneden vormen, tandwielkast, koppeling, stangen,

schakelaar, motor, batterijhouder en alle vereiste onderdelen.

U vindt de figuren met de montagetips in de tweede folder : “KNS4 – Figuren”!!!

Fig. 4 : Stop n°20 in de opening van plaat n°2. Neem de motorhouder vast zoals aangegeven op fig. 4.

Fig. 5 : Stop onderdeel n°20 (x 8) in platen n°1 & 4. Verbind platen 1 & 4 d.m.v. onderdeel n°7. Stop 2 metalen

assen (n°15) in plaat n°4 en door katrol n°10. De assen gaan via de wand van plaat n°1 terug naar buiten.

Denk eraan om de rubberen riemen (onderdelen n°18 & 16) op de katrollen te bevestigen voor u de

metalen as aanbrengt. Het laatste exemplaar van onderdeel n°15 gaat door platen n°1 & 4.

plaat n°5. Breng onderdelen n°5 & 8 aan volgens figuur 6. Bevestig plaat n°5 aan platen n°1 & 4 met

onderdeel n°19.

Fig. 9 : Tussen plaat n°20 en de katrol (n°10) moet er een afstand zijn van min. 10mm.

Fig. 10 : Maak plaat n°10 vast aan plaat n°3 met onderdeel n°19.

Fig. 12 : Schroef de batterijhouder (n°2) vast aan de onderkant van plaat n°2. Stop de draden door plaat n°2 en

sluit ze aan op de motor en de schakelaar (zie fig. 16).

Fig. 14 : Gebruik onderdeel n°12 om platen n°11 & 17 vast te maken en doe hetzelfde met platen n°11 & 16.

5 Problemen en oplossingen

• Zorg ervoor dat de bedrading correct is

• De assen (n°6, 14 & 15) in de nylon kraagringen (n°20 & 21) moeten kunnen bewegen zodat de katrollen en de

wielen ongehinderd kunnen draaien.
