Testing the car plug:
Put the tester in the plug. If the car has a 13 pin plug, use the adapter (with lid)
between the plug and tester.
Turn on the ignition and test all the functions with the help of a second person. If the
plug has been allocated properly, the appropriate display will light up (if you use the
indicators, the display will flash too).
Testing the trailer plug:
Put the 9 Volt battery in the battery compartment of the tester.
Put the tester in the trailer plug, if necessary, use the 13 pin adapter (without lid)
Press the yellow test button, if all functions are working on the trailer (indicating,
reversing and brake light and fog lamp), all 6 lights will light up when you press the
test button. Please not that all trailers have a fog lamp, when this is the case, the blue
light will not light up.
Error search notice:
The colour behind the display show the normal cable colour of each wire
If nothing lights up during the test, this means that the earth wire is probably
interrupted. If you are testing the trailer, please ensure that the 9 Volt battery is full,
otherwise replace.
If single display lights show an error, check their cabling.
Clean plug and plug contacts and check that the screws are tightened in each plug.
Using the adapter to adapt your plug to the tester:
The adapter can be used for various different systems. Just place the adapter between
the adapter and your plug.
