symbol.

EU separate collection and lead content mark for lead acid ba eries. Indicates that the bat-
tery must not be disposed of to the ‘normal’ household waste but be separately collected
and recycled.
EU separate collection mark for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Indi-
cates that the item must not be disposed of to the ‘normal’ household waste but be sepa-
rately collected and recycled.

Safety of persons
•Dangerous voltage levels are present within the system. It should be opened exclusively
by qualified se vice personnel.
•The system must be properly grounded.
•The ba ery supplied with the system contains small amounts of toxic materials. To avoid
accidents, the directi es listed below must be observed:
෮Servicing of ba eries should be performed or supervised by personnel knowledgeable
about ba eries and the required precautions
෮Risk of explosion if ba ery is replaced by an incorrect type. When replacing ba eries,
replace with the same type and number of ba eries or ba ery packs. Instructions shall
carry su cient information to enable the replacement of the ba ery with a suitable
recommended type.

෮CAUTION: Do not dispose of ba eries in a fi e. The ba eries may explode. Dispose of
used ba eries according to the instructions
෮Do not open or mutil te ba eries. Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes.
It may be toxic.
෮CAUTION – A ba ery can present a risk of electrical shock and high short circuit cur-
rent. The following precautions should be o served when working on ba eries:
•Remove watches, rings, or other metal objects.
•Use tools with insulated handles.
•Wear rubber gloves and boots.
•Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of ba eries.
•Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or dis onnecting b ery terminals.
•Determine if ba ery is inadvertently grounded. If inadvertently grounded, remove
source from ground. Contact with any part of a grounded ba ery can result in elec-
trical shock. The likelihood of such shock can be reduced if such grounds are re-
moved during installation and mai tenance.
•Failed ba eries can reach temperatures that exceed the burn thresholds for touch-
able surfaces.
Product safety
•The UPS connection instructions and operation described in the manual must be fol-
lowed in the indicated order.
•UPS enclosure IP rating IP20
•CAUTION - To reduce the risk of fi e, the unit connects only to a circuit provided with
branch circuit overcurrent protection or:
•20A ratin , for Tower 3ks models, trip curve C .
•The upstream circuit breaker for Normal AC/Bypass AC must be easily accessible.
•for PERMANENTLY CONNECTED EQUIPMENT, a readily accessible disconnect device shall
be incorporated external to the equipment.
•for PLUGGABLE EQUIPMENT, the socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and
shall be easily accessible.
•Check that the indications on the ra ng plate correspond to your AC powered system and
to the actual electrical consumption of all the equipment to be connected to the system.
•Never install the system near liquids or in an excessively damp environment.
•Never let a foreign body penetrate inside the system.
•Never block the ventil tion g ates of the system.
•Never expose the system to direct sunlight or source of heat.
•If the system must be stored prior to installation, torage must be in a dry place.
•The admissible storage temperature range is -25°C to +55°C without ba eries, 0°C to
+40°C with ba eries, suggest to storage the ba ery below 25°C.
•This UPS can be used in TN/IT/TT power system.
