1.InstalltheT155withthetwofurnishedmountingscrewstoa
standard2”x4”electricalbox,4-11/16”x2-1/8”squaredevicebox
witha2”x4”adapterringortoa4”x4”boxwithaccessoryadapter
plate.
2.Forwallinstallations,mountthethermostatonaninsidewall
approximately5feetabovetheoor.Thelocationshouldprovide
circulationataverageroomtemperature.Avoiddirectsunlightor
sourcesofhotorcoldairintheroomorwall.
3.Removetheknobandthenthecover.Mountthermostatbase
assemblytotheoutletboxusingthescrewsprovided,tightenthe
screwsevenlybutdonotovertighten.Makewiringconnectionsas
noted.
4.Tousearemotesensor,removejumperJP-1todisablelocal
sensing.FailuretoremoveJP-1whenusingaremotesensorwill
causeimproperoperationofthethermostat.Someunitsdonothave
remotesensingcapability.SeeApplicationNotes.
5.Reinstallthecoverassembly.Installcoverlockingscrewprovided.
Reinstalltheknob.

Knob Removal and Replacement
InstallatIon
•READTHESEINSTRUCTIONSCAREFULLYBEFOREATTEMPTINGTO
INSTALL,OPERATEORSERVICETHISTHERMOSTAT.
•Failuretoobservesafetyinformationandcomplywithinstructionscould
resultinPERSONALINJURY,DEATHAND/ORPROPERTYDAMAGE.
•Toavoidelectricalshockordamagetoequipment,disconnectpowerbefore
installingorservicing.
•Toavoidelectricshockordamagetoequipment,useonlywiringwithinsula-
tionratedforfullthermostatoperatingvoltage.
•Toavoidpotentialfireand/orexplosiondonotuseinpotentiallyflammableor
explosiveatmospheres.
•Retaintheseinstructionsforfuturereference.Thisproduct,wheninstalled,
willbepartofanengineeredsystemwhosespecificationsandperformance
characteristicsarenotdesignedorcontrolledbyPECO,Inc.Youmust
reviewyourapplicationandnationalandlocalcodestoassurethatyour
installationwillbefunctionalandsafe.
TemperatureRange:50°F-90°F(10°C-32°C)
TA155:AHEAT-OFF-COOLsystemswitchmanuallyselectsheating
orcoolingmode.IntheHEATposition,onlytheheatoutputcycles
withdemand.IntheCOOLposition,onlythecooloutputcycleswith
demand.IntheOFFposition,heatingandcoolingoutputsareoff.Units
withatwopositionsystemswitchorwithoutasystemswitchmustuse
aloadtransferswitchwhenbothheatingandcoolingoutputsareused.
Thispreventscontrolfailureandequipmentdamagecausedbydirect
cyclingbetweenloads.
TB155:AnON-OFFsystemswitchenablesauto-changeoverofheating
andcoolingmodes.IntheONpositionthethermostatactivatesheating
orcoolingoutputsdependantupontherelationshipbetweensetpoint
andambienttemperature.Heatontocoolondeadbandis4°F.In
theOFFposition,heatingandcoolingoutputsareoff.Unitswithout
asystemswitchcyclebetweenheatingandcoolingwitha4°Fdead
band.
FAN:Someunitshaveaswitchformanualselectionoffanspeed.On
theseunitsfanoperationiseitherinternallywiredforfancontinuous
operationorisdependantuponconnectiontothefansupplyinput.
Wheninternallywiredforfancontinuousoperation,thefanwillbe
offwhenthesystemswitchisoff.Whendependantuponexternal
connectionsthefanmaynotbeoffwiththesystemswitchintheoff
position.Thefansupplyinputisswitchedtofanspeedoutputs(HI-
MED-LO).
SWITCHEDPOWER:L1powerisswitchedtothisoutputanytimethe
systemswitchisoutoftheOFFposition.

Whenremovingandre-installingtheT-155
knob,caremustbetaken.
•Alignarrowto70°Fontheknob(22C)or
midrangewhenremovingtheknob.
•Reinstallknobbyaligningarrowto70°F
(22C)ormidrange.
•Donotforceit.Whenproperlyaligned,the
knobwillslipintoposition.
Align arrow to 70°F
on the knob (22C)
•UseCopperwire
only,insulateorwire
nutallunusedleads.
•Anywiring,including
theremoteprobe,
maycarrythefull
operatingvoltageof
thethermostat.
