Eight-Channel Microphone Preamplier with
V Technology
The Crescendo features a fully balanced signal flow. The input stage uses
pairs of matched PNP Transistors (Dierential Input Transistors) for extremely
low noise and a very high common mode rejection.
Each of the eight input stages has six th generation V SPL SUPRA Operation
Ampliers.
The transformerless design of the input/output stages guarantees highly linear
amplifying.
The output stages operate as current ampliers and therefore provide Class-A
operation with more than 6mA quiescent current.
Start up
Read the security advices on page .
Make sure that the selected mains voltage of the Crescendo is according to the
mains voltage of your region.
Make sure that the mains switch on the rear of the Crescendo is set to O
(O = O / ON = I).
Connect the supplied power cord to the Crescendo and an appropriate mains
socket outlet.
If the supplied power cord does not match your mains socket outlet, please contact your dealer.
Please connect the outputs of the Crescendo to the inputs of your audiointer-
face or mixing console.
Connect your microphones to the inputs to of the Crescendo with high-
quality microphone cables.
Microphone cables not included in the scope of delivery.
Switch on mains on the rear of the Crescendo (On = I).
The VU meter light up.

The phantom power required for condenser microphones can be activated with
the 48V switch.
If phantom power is on, the 48V LED lights up blue.
IMPORTANT:
Use phantom power only for condenser microphones. For all other microphone types – especially
ribbon micorphones – switch o the phantom power!
Use the Mic Gain control to adjust the preamplication gain.
The polarity of a microphone signal can be inversed (180°) with the Polarity
Inversal switch.
If the input signal is too hot, switch on PAD. This reduces the level by 20dB.
You can make the VU Meters less sensitive by activating the VU-10dB switch.
Power down
Switch o mains on the back of the Crescendo (O = O).
The VU Meter no longer light up.
