Abstract
Most file systems are a thin layer of organization on top of a
block device and cannot efficiently address data at large scale.
This paper focuses on OneFS, a modern file system that meets
the unique needs of Big Data. OneFS includes SmartPools, a
native tiering capability, which enables enterprises to reduce
storage costs without sacrificing performance or data protection.
