As a trusted partner of the United States Government, Kaba Mas high security combination locks are used for GSA approved
security containers. The DKX series pedestrian door locks are used on doors to secure rooms as well as Secure Compartmented
Information Facilities (SCIFs). Both Kaba Mas products have been trusted and preferred selections by U.S. Government agencies and
Government contractors since our X-0 series was introduced in 1992.
DKX Series Type IV
The Kaba Mas DKX Series was developed to meet changes to Federal Specification FF-L-2890C. These changes included a life- safe-
ty requirement to locking devices used to protect any secure areas occupied by Government and/or cleared contractor personnel.
The Type IV, approved by the General Services Administration (GSA), is comprised of a Kaba Mas CDX-10 which is utilized with a
Dorma F9300 3 hour fire rated exit device.
Together, it ensures simultaneous retraction of both the pullman style dead latch and the CDX-10 primary dead bolt. The combina-
tion of both products ensures compliance with codes for security, fire, and life safety as well as adheres to requirements of the
American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The DKX Series Type IV includes integrated electrified trim that allows through-the-door wiring for electronic access control and a
request to exit switch.

The Kaba Mas CDX-10 High Security Combination Lock used with the DKX Series product line meets or exceeds
performance requirements set by Federal Specification FF-L-2890C for protection of Classified and National Security
Information (NSI).
