MOUNTING AND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Underwriters Laboratories (UL) does not require all fixtures to have ground wires. These fixtures
meet all UL specifications.
1. Turn off power at circuit box to avoid possible electric shock.
2. Beginning at sides and working at an angle, peel protective coating (if applicable) from face plate
(A) (see fig. 1).
3. Position flat side of mounting plate (C) against ceiling at mounting location and mark outer holes
(O) with a pencil.
4. Drill a 1/4 inch hole at each pencil mark then insert drywall anchors (E) by gently tapping with a
hammer.
5. Thread outlet box wires through center opening in mounting plate (C).
6. Position mounting plate (C) with outer holes (O) over drywall anchors (E) and secure with screws
(K), then secure mounting plate (C) to outlet box (J) with outlet box screws (P).
7. Identify color coding of fixture wires.
8. Connect the black wire from the fixture with the black wire (live wire) from the outlet box (J) by
wire connector (G), and wrap the wire connector (G) with electrical tape for a more secure
connection.
9. Connect the white wire from the fixture with the white wire (neutral wire) from the outlet box (J)
by wire connector (G), and wrap the wire connector (G) with electrical tape for a more secure
connection.
10. Partially thread green grounding screw (H) into side hole (I) on mounting plate (C) (see fig.1).
11. Wrap the bare grounding wire from the fixture canopy around the green grounding screw stem
(H) on the mounting bar leaving enough excess wire. Connect the greenish grounding wires from
hanging cord and excess grounding wire from the fixture canopy with the grounding wire from
outlet box (J) by using a wire connector (G), then wrap the wire connector (G) with electrical tape
for a more secure connection.
12. Tuck wires inside outlet box (J).
FIXTURE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning: This fixture is for indoor use only.
1. Rep
lace face plate (A) over mounting plate (C) and secure into place with cap nuts (B).
2. Place metal shade(s) (L) into holder(s) (M) and secure with retaining ring(s) (N).
3. Install lamp(s). Do not exceed recommended wattage.
4. Turn power back on at circuit box.

This Westinghouse lighting fixture is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period
of five years from purchase date. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied.
This warranty does not cover acts of nature such as lightening damage, or corrosion and discoloration
of components, nor does it cover damages caused through abuse, improver installation, surges in
electric current, or acts of third parties.
This warranty does not cover the costs of removing and re-installing the lighting fixture.

INSTRUCTIONS D’ASSEMBLAGE DE L’APPAREIL D’ÉCLAIRAGE
Mise en Garde: À utiliser à l’intérieur seulement.
1. Replacez la plaque avant (A) par-dessus la plaque de fixation (C) et fixez bien en place à l’aide de(s) l’écrou(s)
capuchon (B).
2. Placez les stores métalliques (L) dans le (s) support (s) (M) et fixez-les avec la (les) bague (s) de retenue (N).
3. Installez la (les) ampoule(s). Ne dépassez pas le wattage recommandé.
4. Remettez l’interrupteur de la boîte de fusibles à « ON ».
INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE ET DE RACCORDEMENT
NOTA : Underwriters Laboratories (UL) n’exige pas que tous les appareils d’éclairage comportent des
fils de mise à la terre. Ces appareils satisfont cependant à toutes les spécifications UL.
1. Mettez l’interrupteur de la boîte à fusibles à « OFF » afin d’éviter le risque d’électrocution.
2. En commençant par les côtés et en travaillant en angle, enlevez la couche protectrice (s’il y a lieu) de la plaque
avant (A) (voir fig. 1).
3. Placez le côté plat de la plaque de montage (C) contre le plafond à l’emplacement de montage et marquez les
trous extérieurs (O) avec un crayon.
4. Percez un trou de 1/4 de pouce dans chaque marque de crayon, puis insérez les chevilles (E) en tapotant
doucement avec un marteau.
5. Faites passer les fils de la boîte de sortie de courant par l’ouverture centrale de la plaque de fixation (C).
6. Placer la plaque de montage (C) avec les trous extérieurs (O) sur les ancrages de cloison sèche (E) et fixer avec
les vis (K), puis fixer la plaque de montage (C) sur la boîte de sortie (J) avec des vis de boîte de sortie (P)
7. Identifiez la couleur des fils de votre appareil d’éclairage.
8. Connectez le fil noir de l’appareil d’éclairage au fil noir (fil sous tension) de la boîte de sortie (J) près du
capuchon de connexion (G); puis, pour une connexion plus sécuritaire, enveloppez le capuchon de connexion
(G) avec du ruban isolant.
9. Connectez le fil blanc de l’appareil d’éclairage au fil blanc (fil compensateur) de la boîte de sortie (J) près du
capuchon de connexion (G); puis, pour une connexion plus sécuritaire, enveloppez le capuchon de connexion
(G) avec du ruban isolant.
10. Vissez en partie la vis verte de mise à la terre (H) dans le trou latéral (I) se trouvant sur la plaque de fixation (C)
(voir fig. 1).
11.Enveloppez le fil nu de mise à la terre du plafonnier autour de la tige verte de la vis de mise à la terre (H) sur la
barre de montage tout en laissant suffisamment de fil. Raccordez le fil de mise à la terre verdâtre du fil
suspendu et l’excès de fil de mise à la terre du plafonnier avec le fil de mise à la terre de la boîte de sortie (J) à
l’aide d’un capuchon de connexion (G); puis, pour une connexion (G) plus sécuritaire, enveloppez le capuchon
de connexion avec du ruban isolant.
12. Enfouissez les fils dans la boîte de sortie de courant (J).

1. Desconecte el suministro eléctrico en la caja de fusibles para evitar la posibilidad de descarga eléctrica.

6. Coloque la placa de montaje (C) con los agujeros exteriores (O) sobre los anclajes de pared (E) y asegúrela con
los tornillos (K), entonces asegure la placa de montaje (C) a la caja de embutir (J) usando los tornillos de la caja
de embutir (P).
7. Identifique el color de los cables de su artefacto.
8. Conecte el cable negro del artefacto con el cable negro (cable vivo) de la caja de embutir (J) usando el
conector para cables (G). Luego, enrolle el conector para cables (G) con cinta aislante para una conexión más
segura.
9. Conecte el cable blanco del artefacto con el cable blanco (cable neutro) de la caja de embutir (J) usando el

11. Enrolle el cable de puesto a tierra sin aislación del dosel del artefacto alrededor del vástago del tornillo verde
de puesto a tierra (H) sobre la barra de montaje dejando bastante excedente de cable. Conecte el cable de
puesto a tierra color verdusco del cable colgante y el excedente de cable de puesto a tierra del dosel del
artefacto con el cable de puesto a tierra de la caja de embutir (J) usando un conector para cables (G). Luego,
enrolle el conector para cables (G) con cinta aislante para una conexión más segura.
